Lowcountry Chinatown

Social Profile:

Lowcountry Chicago provides a comfortable and backyard-like environment, which embraces the culture of social gatherings around seafood boils. The inspiration originates from our childhood memories of family road trips to the Gulf Coast, where the highlight was always digging into lowcountry-style seafood in plastic bags set on picnic tables. Our newest location is located in the heart of the most vibrant and exciting eating destination in Chicago: Chinatown! The venue was designed to honor classical Chinese celebration, where friends and families gather around sumptuous meals to commemorate life’s most special moments. This aspect of Chinese culture is the perfect backdrop for our cuisine.

Fantastic, we usually frequent the one in Lakeview but this one in Chinatown was a hit as well. Why not get a boil bag before walking around the eventful streets of Chinatown. One thing for sure, I have to learn to order less food, my eyes are hungrier than my stomach. I looked over and my son was still going at it. The food was delicious, the place was clean and the service was very attentive. I didn’t get an alcoholic drink but they sure do offer them.
Throw on that bib, put on those gloves and let the server cut your boil bag so you can enjoy paradise.

It all started with a craving of some of shrimp . It had been a while since I had it since I used to go to the south loop location . The service was great Evelyn made sure we had everything needed and explained the menu . Armando was very helpful and attentive. The flavors were delicious spicy citrusy, we ordered the mussels and shrimp along with a side of waffle fries that came with a delicious sauce. Overall I would highly recommend this China town location. Shout out to the staff for being a great Vibe !!!

Haven’t been here in a few years and was craving seafood boil. Evelyn who took our order was fantastic, so sweet and funny. We ordered the shrimp & mussels with the everything sauce and fries. It was more than enough food for me and my boyfriend. Overall fantastic service and food!

Nice music and esthetic, the food is pricy but tasty. They did make a mistake with my order and some how it got lost and when I went up to ask the lady who took my order where my food was she said it got lost so I need to wait another 10 minutes for the food. Now accidents happen but Evelyn was being too casual about like it was no big deal so that was distasteful for me. Other than that everything was good.

Just tried this awesome spot and got the seafood boil with mussels, broccoli, and green beans. 10/10 especially being my first food spot in Chicago! Will 100% recommend!

The food was good! It was a bit pricy so definitely not my go-to spot for a seafood boil, but I would return if I was in the area. The shrimp combo came with potatoes, corn, and cornbread which were all very flavorful. The food tasted good, but we all found that the seafood in our dishes were pretty overcooked. The cornbread was the star of the show for me. Everything was well seasoned, just cooked for a little too long. Other than that, the space is nice and clean and there is a section for you to wash your hands, get togo bags/foil, etc. overall a nice spot.

My son wanted to come here because he saw it on TikTok. The decor was nice and place was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was okay a little over priced if you ask me but all in all great experience. Not sure why they put jalapeño in the corn bread but it was different! Not my cup of tea.

The everything sauce in Hot is in fact EVERYTHING. We got Combo D + a lobster tail and it was very filling!
As we walked in everything was clean. You go to the counter and order and they bring your food out. Complimentary utensils, bibs, cups, to-go bags and tinfoil for left overs.
As for the food:
Comes with plenty of shrimp and everything is drenched in sauce. The sauce isn’t unbearable either it’s the perfect level of spice and salty.
The atmosphere was super calm but we did arrive around 5pm. It started getting busy at 6pm.
Service was fast and they were all super attentive. I would return again.

The place is cute and cozy, it has a very different feel than the downtown location but in a good way.

They have a very limited bar. I think they only offered sangria and beer/ale. And it was overpriced for the small portion size.

The food did not disappoint. We ordered the king crab and garlic noodles and cornbread; all were delectable. I really enjoyed the sauce. I’d revisit.
