Quaint tea shoppe with two friendly women were working there today. We had no reservation but they were able to accommodate us just fine. Luckily the weather was ok to sit outside. Inside is very tiny and seating would be for a few groups of 3 people at best. The ambiance is cute and a little shabby but it has charm. It’s like an old fashioned tea cup shop with lovely things to buy too. Much to appreciate beyond the worn yet cute esthetic. The food is good, not fancy, not gourmet or like grandma’s either. I’d say it’s like a good little bite, tasty, satisfying and definitely worth a try. The warm welcome and continuous smiles will be remembered. I always appreciate a welcoming establishment. I will tell you that you are busing your own table outside and I don’t believe that anyone came back to see if any additional service was needed. I felt content and most things that you might need were all with in reach. This is not a royal tea experience. It’s a quaint old mom and pop establishment with friendly people. Don’t come here expecting a high tea experience this is not the place. I will say I would go back. I really had a great time.

This has always been one of favorite places to patronize, despite the fact that we no longer live in the area we are more than happy to make the trek. The staff have always been amazing, accommodating, welcoming, and made us feel like VIPs. This is such a gem to enjoy quality tea, food, and atmosphere in such a quaint place. The selection of teas varies by season with a wealth of standing options warm and iced all at your fingertips. We love Lovey’s and will continue to make our trek from 3 1/2 hours away to enjoy this gem in Pacifica! Thank you!

Came here with a group of friends after a hike. We ordered at the counter and sat outside since indoor seating was filled.
Service was good. The shop was nice.
Sitting outside was pleasant though next to parked cars next to very busy road.
I ordered the (tea tray for 1) turkey sandwich which was good. The traditional scone was tasty and the clotted cream wasn’t too bad.
My green tea with toasted rice was tasty.

What a gem. We thoroughly enjoyed our tea and sandwiches. The atmosphere is quirky and delightful. We sat inside for warmth, but the outside seating area had a beautiful view and a similar character. The service was super friendly as well. Highly recommended stop on the coast. I can’t believe it took me this long to discover it.

I loved everything about this tea place. Me and my few girl friends came on Friday for high tea and everything was perfect . We each got different types of tea . I got white peach which was amazing with unlimited refill . The sandwiches were delicious and so as scones. Service was great , the ladies were attentive and friendly . We loved the little shop inside where they sell cutest tea pots, cups , teas , scones etc . I ended up getting lychee rose green tea to enjoy at home .

Lovely lil tea shop that’s in an unexpected location. They have an outdoor seating space as well as a small inside spot. The sandwiches were nice but nothing special. However, the scones are to die for!!! We ordered more considering they were so good!!!

Literally the cutest little place ever!!! I’m enjoying tea and sandwiches and scones with my sister right now and it’s amazing! Such sweet and attentive workers and delicious tea and food. So much variety, even chocolate tea which I rarely find a truly good version of! Love it here so much and can’t wait to come back!!

I don’t know why they changed their way of doing things, but this was my third time here and I won’t be back ever. As an aficionado who has enjoyed high tea all over the world, I was really disappointed in Lovey’s Tea Shoppe. It wasn’t just one thing. I didn’t like that I had to pay in advance. The price for afternoon tea with tip is $70 USD, so I was expecting a small amount of fabulous. I will say my Darjeeling tea was delicious. What I really didn’t like was that they serve your lunch one thing at a time. I like to choose what I’m going to eat when it’s all in front of me, which is something every other tea shop offers – except this one. The sandwiches are all made from the same bread. When you’re done, you are offered a choice of scones. Then you get one single scone. Mine was overcooked and flat. One scone? They actually wait for you to finish that before they bring you half a crumpet. I didn’t want a crumpet (English muffin). But what put me over the edge is when they finally brought out the tray of sweets, you could only choose ONE. This was just too much for me. I choose a chocolate petit four which was mushy, so I didn’t eat it. I understand that costs have gone up, but this was just ridiculous. No one came and asked if everything was okay. I swear I was annoyed about this for days afterwards, and it upset an otherwise lovely time with a childhood friend. I will never go back to this place. I felt so ripped off. For the price I paid for my sandwich, overcooked scone, half a small crumpet and one mushy sweet, I could host a tea for a dozen of my friends. It’s not like you’re paying for atmosphere either, it’s a little dive shop by the freeway, they don’t play music, they sell the jam for a few dollars more than the shop that actually makes it across the street. Do better, Lovey’s. You used to be enchanting. And I think people who like your place just don’t know any better.
