Went there for opening of 2026 season, enjoyed the swirl ice cream and chocolate malt, enjoyed the conversation with the owner, liked how they had someone in the drive thru taking orders to keep it moving, staff was friendly and quick service. Enjoy that you can pay by credit card as well, will definitely be back to try the pizookie!! By the owner’s recommendation and seeing it on WLWT news 5

Loveland Dairy Whip is hands down one of the best ice cream spots around! I absolutely love coming here the ice cream is delicious, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. The staff are super friendly and make every visit a great experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty treat. Definitely a must-try!

Excellent local ice cream spot, loved the Pizookie that they had! Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the young man who helped me with my order. 5 stars!

love this place. We got the strawberry shortcake sundae and a root beer float. Both were very good.

Unfortunately, i have to agree with some of the other recent reviews. While I love the ice cream here, it is poorly run. I frequently have orders that are incorrect. Just tonight, I again had a messed up order. Wrong ice cream flavor and wrong toppings. They weren’t busy and it wasn’t someone else’s order. Just not paying attention to what they are doing and too busy gossiping.
Also, as several other reviewers recently stated, they don’t consistently fill the cup or cone. Often the special sundaes are half the size of what is on display in the window.
Feels like they are rushing through things and making lots of mistakes. They are mostly high school kids so I cut them a break. And for the most part, they are friendly and try to correct the error. But r hey seem like this is more a social activity than a job. I don’t put this on the kids. The owners job should be to teach and support them to do their job with quality the first time.
It’s a shame. I like the ice cream and want to support local businesses. But I will be taking a break and hoping they can get things together. I hope the owners read these reviews and react.

This is one of my favorite places to take my grand kids when I am in the area. Dairy whip offers refreshing treats at a reasonable price and is much better then the “chain” brands.
I enjoyed a cyclone with Reese’s, and my grandson enjoyed a spaceman kiddie cup.

Friendly walk-up service, plenty of parking and picnic tables. Cash only. For those seeking iconic blue soft serve, don’t order the blueberry. Tasty, but it is not the blue blue I was hoping for. Will return and try the ‘other’ blue on the menu next time.

Nice little ice cream place with a typical small town feel. They have cones, sunades, and parfaits, and the staff are friendly. We ordered a hot caramel cake (without whipped cream), and it was delicious – with the soft and creamy icecream slowly melting over a slice of warm cake, all topped with sauce.
We also had a regular chocolate cone, which was smooth and creamy, but felt it could have been a little more ‘chocolatier’ 🙂
They have picnic tables all around, where you can sit and eat the icecream, and also have a drive-through window if you want to order from the car.

Being that we love our favorite local seasonal whippy dip, we’ve go often. In the beginning with the new owners, it was great seeing them there, however since then, you rarely ever see an adult. It’s usually just teens there. Most of the time they seemed bothered you’re there and are not friendly. We’ve seen them standing around and loudly having inappropriate conversations and using foul language about the latest HS drama. Yesterday, we went for usual Sunday evening treats: a milkshake, chocolate in a cup with sprinkles and a small chocolate cone with sprinkles. We placed our order while in the drive thru line (love this). When I got to the window, there was nobody to be seen. The girl finally came to the window with all 3 things, hands me the very melted cone first saying “I’ll give you this first since it’s starting to melt”. They clearly fixed the cone first and let it sit while they made the other items. Needless to say the cone was so melted and running down my hand/arm i had to toss it. With this plus the lack of adult presence, higher prices and never consistently with the servings, we’ll be taking a break. I really hope the owner reads these and makes the right changes to keep us long time customers coming back.

I loved pineapple upside down sundae. It was refreshing and super tasty. Other items that we tried were ok. One thing you keep in mind is that they are CASH ONLY.
