This was some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had!!! We found this place on a whim from the good reviews it had and decided to stop here during a cross-country trip. It was honestly a highlight of the entire trip. The food was amazing. The service was top-notch with some of the friendliest people you could find. The atmosphere was very quaint and cozy, and you could even see the cook hauling out pounds of meat to the smokers. I recommend everyone stop here if you have the chance.

Amazing family owned BBQ joint! We stopped in on a cold Saturday and grabbed a quick bite to eat. The owners are very friendly and had our food out fast! The fries are made in house and delicious. As is the pulled pork and specialty Nutter Butter Banana Pudding (which is delicious if you’ve never had it!). The prices are good and the food is great! If you’re in the area stop by for a bite!

Went in for lunch yesterday after wanting to try this place for a while. A converted gas station and quite frankly exactly like you want a BBQ joint to look. A “dive” but nothing derogatory in that term for this place. It’s nostalgic and really cool on the inside. The owner was friendly and immediately started calling my two year old daughter George. She didn’t know what to think but quickly grabbed a pig that squealed from the counter. They were very sweet to her and that nickname kind of stuck. We ordered and sat down while my daughter went to town with the pig. I got pulled pork which was smoky and tender. Excellent flavor on a soft fresh bun. The mild sauce was excellent and added to the flavor profile of the pork. The potato salad was the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant! Absolutely phenomenal! Baked beans were fantastic with ground beef and brown sugar goodness. Fries are just potatoes and oil. Can’t ask for anything better with mild BBQ sauce on them. Creamy and delicious coleslaw like your mom would make. The hush puppies are crispy outside with a soft flavorful center. Definitely an old school cornbread like flavor. The wifes pulled chicken was meaty and smokey. Tender white meat on a fresh bun. Everything was exceptional with a large portion. Price was completely fair for the craftsmanship the pit master put into this BBQ. We left full and very pleased. I highly recommend a visit. Never judge a book by it’s cover. This place is exactly what a good southern BBQ joint looks like. Always step outside the box for new and tasty culinary experiences. We did and we’re rewarded with a new favorite place close to home in Maryville. I guess you could say we “Love that BBQ”.

We had a group of 13 that came and we all got our food within 10 minutes! It’s an older building so some things aren’t as modern but the kindness, speed, and food make you forget that very minor detail of an older building. The brisket was fall apart tender, the pulled pork was so flavorful and moist, and their sauce variety was all so delicious! Our group is visiting from the north and south west and we wanted good local BBQ and this place was the best choice. Our little kids loved the nachos, quesadillas, burgers, and hush puppies. Our teens said “this was the best I’ve every had!” If you’re within a 45 min drive, don’t hesitate, go!

This place is out of the way, looks a bit “shady” to the unadventurous however; the absolute BEST barbeque in the area. Owner is incredibly nice, patient and helpful for those who can’t decide what they want to eat. I don’t feel that you could go wrong with anything that you order! Call before you drive to the location to assure that it’s open as the Google posted hours don’t always reflect accurately.

I loved discovering Love That BBQ during an introduction to an area of Knoxville I wasn’t yet familiar with.
Walking in, I loved the authentic feel. It was Wednesday lunchtime, but not overly busy.
The menu had the perfect amount of options — enough to satisfy any craving, but not too many that I couldn’t make up my mind (yes, it’s a thing lol).
I went with the BBQ sandwich and two sides meal — baked beans and hush puppies. The hush puppies were awesome. If you like garlic, you’ll love these. For sure, hush puppies will be something I get every time.
The BBQ sandwich was great, I added the hot BBQ sauce.
I can’t wait to have the brisket next time… the owner (super friendly and personable), was kind enough to give me a little taste. Loved it. Loved it. Loved it.
I’m looking forward to my return visit. I’ll also keep this place in mind when I host a dinner/party and need a crowd-pleaser without doing the cooking myself.

We have eaten BBQ all over the place, and this was one of the best meals we’ve ever had! They are absolutely the best ribs I’ve ever eaten anywhere. I didn’t put any sauce on them at all, because they didn’t need it. My 9 year old son and I stopped in on our way through town, and got a little of everything. It was all really, really good, but we especially enjoyed the ribs, fries(literally hand cut), the fried bologna sandwich, and the hush puppies. Oh yeah and the potato salad, and the pulled pork with coleslaw on it. To top it all off, the couple working it couldn’t have nicer and more hospitable. Please skip all the chain restaurants in the area and get to this place and try it out. Real bbq by real people. Yum

This is a great ma and pa style restaurant. Family owned and run. Real down home cooking, awesome service, and very low prices. Loved the different styles of in-house bbq sauce they have. You can’t go wrong by stopping here!
