The ‘Angels’ were good to us here! The chef Angel and our waitress Angel were both wonderful. This restaurant is delicious and was so considerate of our food sensitivities! Food so good we never got a photo before digging in. Pig paradise pizza was so subtle and creative. Spicy sausage was yumm. You HAVE to try the cavatelli! So light and flavorful – not heavy at all. Great new place, atmosphere still developing – but fun and relaxed.

Everything was incredible! The spaghetti al fungo was creamy perfection, the braised rib pizza was rich and flavorful, and the Spicy Sausage pizza had the perfect kick. Paired with the Shell Creek Chenin Blanc, it made for a wonderful dinner. The atmosphere was chill, the staff was friendly, and Chef Chris is a total badass. The food was so good, I skipped some of the pictures and dug right in—can’t wait to try more!

Awesome place for pizza and Italian dishes! It’s a cozy spot, so it doesn’t feel crazy busy. Good seating at the bar as well, which is really nice for solo diners or anyone that just wants a beverage. All the folks working there are super cool and welcoming to everyone. Meatballs were dang tasty, and I love the texture and flavor of the pizza crust. And we all know the crust makes the pizza. You should definitely check this place out … you won’t be disappointed. Mangia!

Been here with friends twice since it opened and the quality is just fantastic. Delicious pizzas with the right balance of ingredients, their focaccia and sauces are incredibly tasty—haven’t had something I don’t like yet!
Staff are super friendly and attentive, really enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. It’s a great spot!

What a gift for El Cerrito to get Love Letters! Just went during the soft opening… blown away by the quality of food and ambience. We had the Cesar salad, cavatelli, and meatball pizza. The cavatelli was divine and the star of the show for me tonight. The Zinfandel we had was delicious and smooth as was the pistachio ice cream for dessert. Already planning my next visit.

We’re daily patrons of Scrimshaw the coffee shop next door so we’ve been anxiously waiting for the opening of Love Letters. We finally got the chance to dine last night with our two kids and it was all around a fantastic experience and meal. The vibes are perfect, the service friendly, and the food divine. I’ve never seen my kids eat so much! So happy we have this restaurant in the neighborhood!

This is the cutest little Italian-inspired restaurant! The staff were extremely welcoming, especially our server Angel! We loved everything we ate but a couple crowd favorites were the meatballs and the short rib pasta. Will be going back soon 🙂

Truly outstanding pizza and other dishes at this new spot on The Boulevard. The mushroom pizza, panzanella and zucchini appetizers, and the olive oil cake with pistachio gelato were all great. It’s simple, outstanding food, with a curated beer and wine list. Can’t wait to go back and try some of the other pizzas. A really great addition to the College Area restaurant scene.

I recently moved to the college area and I couldn’t really find good restaurants everything was more toward downtown or more than 10 min away . I stumbled upon this new restaurant and the vibe inside was just what I was looking for casual , cute but still elegant . The menu is just perfection from the food to the wine selection. Angel our server was so knowledgeable and attentive. My favorite dishes were the Caesar salad, calamari, mushroom pasta and I still freak about the pistachio ice cream with olive cake .
