In October 2023, the four of us—dad, mom, me, and mom’s mom—stopped at Love & Hominy Tacos in Hood River for lunch. The casual, welcoming atmosphere made it easy for all of us to relax and enjoy our meal. The tacos were flavorful and fresh, with plenty of vegetarian-friendly options for anyone in the group who preferred them. We also enjoyed some sides like chips and salsa, which were the perfect complement to the tacos. Service was quick, so we didn’t have to wait long for our food, and the downtown location made it easy to continue exploring Hood River afterward. It was a delicious, satisfying, and fun lunch stop for our family outing.

A unique concept to have global tacos – different and tasty. We got a Vietnamese, Tex-mex and Thai tacos, some chips and hot sauce. The Vietnamese was our favorite. Margaritas were good. Staff were super friendly. Seating was an issue mainly because a large group showed up at the same time and occupied multiple tables.

First off the vibe is immaculate!!! With that out of the way the food is well thought out and the layers of flavor are something out of this world. We talked with the owner Shaeda, and one of the employees Jada, and they were both amazing and chill to talk to. I will ALWAYS come here on my way through!!!20/10 MIND BLOWN!!! Update came back by on our way home and… DAMN STILL MIND BLOWING AND EVERYONE IS AMAZING!!!

Go here! The tacos were so good, both my bf and I were blown away. I’m always happy when I find an actually good, not to mention unique, vegan taco. Be sure to check out the bathroom wallpaper while you’re there .

The 4 of us (my husband & I and our son and his girlfriend)had just about all their tacos with shrimp & we ate them all! I had a very tasty frozen margarita and my husband a good can of beer. It’s a fun spot right on oak street and truly any type of food (vegetarian or vegan) have so many options!

WOW. We have a new favorite restaurant in Hood River. Me and my husband, sister, and dad were so impressed! The tacos were DELICIOUS and it was fun to have such variety within one meal. Everyone loved all their tacos. The employee helped us decide which protein would work best with each of our choices. It was sooooooo good. 2 tacos was enough to fill us each up. Great vegetarian options. Good prices.

Pretty wacky tacos that are quite tasty. We got one of each and thought most of them were pretty fun. It was however the first time I’ve had a taco in a crunchy shell in quite a while, but somehow it seemed to work. They also do a few bowls including poke and Thai peanut noodles. The chips with cheese sauce were really good.

I wanted to try their more ‘exotic’ tacos. I chose the Korean, Vietnamese, Hawaiian, and Thai tacos. I also got chips and queso for the table. All was very delicious but the Thai taco was my favorite. The salsa verde was amazing as well. Great customer service. Both people working up front came by the table several times while our group was there to ensure we had everything we needed. This was a great spot to have a tasty but simple lunch.

Unique and fun taco spot in downtown Hood River. When I say tacos, not your traditional tacos, but instead tacos with a twist (think Thai, Hawaiian, Vietnamese, etc). The Hawaiian taco was very flavorful. My only complaint is I wish the taco shell would be crunchy. The Thai taco was a little boring and lacked flavor. The tacos are stuffed but I could do without the rice. Doesn’t really add anything but a filler. The chips and salsa were delish! Very small place so not a lot of room to sit, but they make it work. Glad we tried it!

Both tacos I had (the Tex mex chicken and a seared tuna Hawaiian) were some of the best tacos I have had in the PNW. The service and atmosphere were also lovely. I will definitely be stopping by any time I’m in Hood River. Thanks Love & Hominy for making me a happy and full human!
