Our sever at Doc Ford’s in Sanibel highly recommended Loveboat Ice Cream. She was right! The scoops were generous. Lots of choices! Service was quick. The server was engaging in conversation. It was a little hard to find as it was nestled in a shopping center with Jerry’s Foods and other shops. Lighthouse Restaurant also serves Loveboat Ice Cream.

Love this little shop! We biked over from Periwinkle Park with friends and enjoyed a nice dessert before movie night. My friend has a gluten allergy and they were able to accommodate. ❤️

Compared to other ice cream shops in Sanibel, Love Boat is reasonably priced and you get a lot of ice cream. The small is like a large anywhere else and the flavors are creative, fun, and delicious!

Incredible ice cream!! Loved this place- unique and fun ice cream flavors- got a “kid” scoop and it was two scoops AND you could get two different types of ice cream for each scoop! Really cute shop and area of Sanibel! Had different parrots around the shop to check out.

We stop by this place after dinner, and we’re shocked at how awesome this place is. They have quite a large selection of ice cream, and make everything themselves. We ended up getting the turtle sundae with coffee Oreo, dirty turtle and gator tracks. All of those scoops were absolutely delicious. Some of the best ice cream we’ve ever had. We do recommend this place. For some reason there are school banners all over the place inside for their decor. I was happy to find a banner for Texas A&M, my alma mater, as well as the Dallas Cowboys.

Holy cow, I was not expecting this place to be so good! I first saw a Love Boat in Fort Myers, and it sounded kind of cute to me but it also didn’t appeal enough to go try it. But this is one of the only ice cream shops on Sanibel Island so we decided to go for it, and boy am I glad we did!! First of all, be aware when you order a normal waffle cone, even the “small” one comes with FOUR, *4* scoops of ice cream, as seen pictured below. It’s awesome but it’s also a lot so be prepared for that if you do order it. My favorite ever from here is the Oatmeal Cream Pie ice cream. Yup, it’s really a flavor and it’s fricken fantastic! Small pieces of oatmeal cookie and a whole lot of wonder. The Coconut Almond Fudge is also a really popular flavor and it’s pretty good even for me who doesn’t prefer those kinds of flavors. But they have so many different options and this ice cream will imprint on you, it’s so good. Really, I don’t get impressed by ice cream often but this place really took me by surprise. And the lady working was sooo nice too, so all around so worth the wait and trip!

WOW!!! Amazing I read reviews of this place and many others, and decided that this was the place to try. I am sooo glad that I did. The ice cream was spectacular . It was in a shopping plaza on Sanibel Island and it was constantly busy. We thoroughly enjoyed the taste and experience. Wonderful dessert , you will NOT be disappointed. It was a little pricey, until we saw the amount that they dished out for us. We highly recommend

Our Family’s favorite dessert,, The shops are open later than most on the island. After we have dinner we wander over to Jerry’s Plaza and walk around until we are ready for the delicious small batch ice cream. Maple Walnut is my favorite

A must if you are in Sanibel Island and looking for an ice cream place to eat.
Super cute themed restaurant in an awesome location. They are located inside the Jerry’s Foods Plaza which is covered with tall trees that provides shaded areas in case you choose to eat out side and enjoy the breeze that comes from the beach or take pictures with the parrot right in the courtyard.
Now, the amount of flavors they have is almost overwhelming. Not a complaint, just quite a lot to choose from and if you like a lot of flavors then choosing can become very hard.
You can ask the staff to try the flavors before making a final decision.
I have tried the blueberry cheesecake which is delicious, Salted caramel bacon which was not my cup of tea, birthday cake which was what we got for the kids, mudslide and rocky road which is what I got on a cup and a cone on top of it.
The ice cream shop is pretty small so there might not always be space to seat depending on the time of the day and year you visit but remember that there are also tables outside where you can sit.
Their prices are fair :
Kid Cone or cup – $4
Small cone or cup – $5
Large cup – $6
Waffles are 0.50 cents extra
They also have milk shales, malts, floats, freezies and sodas as well as coffee beverages.
Love this location just as much as I love the one in Fort Myers beach.

Best ice cream on the island! My family has been vacationing on the island for 10 years and always makes several trips to Love Boat. I love getting two different flavors when I get two scoops.
