Do you want good food fast? Come to Lousies on the Loop. They serve fresh, made to order loose meat sandwiches. They’re like a crumble burger but made from scratch. They even grind their own meat so you get nothing but the best! Bring the kids or come in and take one to go. You can’t go wrong here. Sides are all made from scratch as well

Visited today (01/21/2023) with toddler in tow. Everything we tried was delicious! I had most of toddler’s oatmeal. I had never had oatmeal with butter before. It was kind of savory, and now, I never want to eat “regular” oatmeal again. The Beef Lousie, Vegan Lousie, and Lousie Omlet Sandwich were all also devoured.
Indoors, they have several (maybe 5?) 2-top tables, a bench to seat 2-3, and a larger table for maybe 6-8 people. A couple more 2-tops outside.
They’re located just off Delmar, on Melville (small street between Blueberry Hill & Vintage Vinyl). If you see Bahn Mi (which also looked good), you’ve gone 1 door too far!

Both owners were working when we went in. They could not have been nicer! The food came out quickly, but was all freshly prepared while we waited- perfect!

rustic lil spot decorated w choice antique and vintage art and ceramics…VERY friendly and accomodating…part of Delmar Loop Taco Crawl and the ONLY vendor to accomodate…i dont eat beef and they made me an AWESOME mushroom “cheeseburger” taco that was absolutely AMAZING!! THANK YOU!!

As a vegetarian, sometimes I miss a good cheap burger. Their vegan option hit that spot perfectly, and they were so thoughtful in asking how vegan I wanted it (butter for toasting the bread, etc). Good food, good price, great service, cute location. I can definitely see myself coming back over and over again.

Tried Lousie’s twice so far and have been impressed with the affordability, food, and service. The owners are kind, passionate, and care about a fine-tuned product. If I am ever craving a light bite, the Lousie with American cheese hits the spot for under $10. If you have the time to wait, the Bread Pudding is an absolute must-get. Truly, TRULY hope this place gets the recognition it deserves from the surrounding community!

Great food, great service. For any of those who are from the southeast Iowa area, it is a better version of the maid rite, in my opinion. They also have Sterzings, which are impossible to find this far south.

Had such a great experience at Lousies! The food was so tasty and came out super quick, plus it’s very affordable for college students like myself. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to grab a quick lunch/dinner. Can’t wait to return and try the rest of the menu 🙂

Omggggg….. the burgers are seasoned everything is perfect like I’m serious guys…. I also had the bread pudding and I don’t even eat bread pudding it was light and fluffy and finally not to sweet! Delicious loose meat sandwiches. My husband had meat and I had the vegan one. It was sooooo delicious. Please go so they stay around. Also don’t be scared of the name. It’s like a sloppy Joe with no sauce.
