We went during the breakfast rush and although we got seats right away, the food took a long time to arrive. The waitress offered us complimentary donuts or muffins while we waited. Of course my husband took her up on that and he got an enormous maple bacon donut. Our breakfast was hot and delicious. 10 stars.

Enormous portions. Traditional diner and bakery with atmosphere to match. Outdoor seating available currently. Food tasted good and as expected based on descriptions. I’d prefer the option to get a smaller portion. Lots of early attention from server. However after receiving the order and confirming it was satisfactory we didn’t see her again – maybe 40 minutes had passed. Bus person passed the table and waitress for another table but didn’t see our server in the room. We were finished for over 15 minutes with empty beverages and needed to contact someone and explain why we wanted to get a bill before anyone came over to the table. Table syrup comes with the pancakes upon request otherwise you can order real maple syrup at an extra cost which will be provided in a tiny glass bottle, 1.7 ounce serving size. Summertime at 10am on a Thursday still has a line so plan ahead.

What a wonderful spot for brunch! The muffins are baked fresh and delicious. I had the “make your own omelet” and it was perfect – kept me satiated until dinner! The staff is great here. Quick table turnaround so we only had to wait a few minutes for a table. We’ll go again!

The bakery area seems very good. On the other hand, the place is overrated and overly priced. I will begin with the server; she lacked experience in customer service and attentiveness. We ordered “The Breakfast” plates. To begin with the server she brought over our breakfast, my egg was mediocre and cold. The portions do not match the high cost. The scramble eggs were watery and seem to have come from a container. Not fresh from the shell.

Lou’s Restaurant and Bakery is an amazing spot! The food is delicious, and the bakery treats are to die for. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a top-notch dining experience. I highly recommend their pancakes and apple pie.
