When: Sat. April 12th, 8:15 am; party of 2 Adults.

Very friendly and genuine service. We were greeted & seated promptly. The ambiance was a farm house country kitchen feel. The restaurant is large enough where all patrons can feel comfortable without rubbing elbows with others. There is ample street parking around the restaurant.

Breakfast is served only on Weekends at this Mount Angel eatery. My wife had the Avocado Toast meal and she said it was one of the best Avocado Toast she has ever had. I had the hearty Lou’s Farmer’s Breakfast which is essentially everything in the kitchen except the kitchen sink. This meal was very filling and satisfying. The grilled Hash Browns had the perfect crispness with a flavorful buttery taste.

We will definitely be back to Lou’s.

This was our first time here as we do not live in the area. Really good food. And great service. We ordered their Thurs dinner special (weekly German dish) and their famous Turkey Cran w/Avocado on a croissant sandwich that Lorine our server recommended. Both were absolutely delicious. And we will be back for both for sure. But the weekly special Konisberger klopse was soooo good we had to purchase 2 more orders to go.
The owner made it a point to go to all the tables to check on each customer. That was very nice and made the place seem personable and small town hospitable. Nice touch and he was a very nice guy. As is his daughter, our server. The whole place is family.
So If your thinking to give this place a try, just do it. You are sure to love the food and will be glad you tried it. And it’s wonderful to support the small businesses in the area as well.

Dead. Completely dead and the menu sucks. Advertises German food and only serves microwave American food. Absolutely disgusting. Walked in and the service sucked, weren’t friendly and wanted to leave after the atmosphere.

Was pleasantly surprised how good it was given the small town vibe. Definitely making this a stop whenever I’m traveling down I5 and hungry. Just a side note but my wife and I are thinking about spending a night in town and taking in all the wonderful sights and restaurants around the area. Nice going Lou and thanks for a great meal.

Lou’s Kitchen has amazing food. As my wife and I ate our breakfast, we felt like it was a home cooked meal. Very comforting. Felt very satisfied and energized through the rest of the day. The sourdough was amazing. We even purchased 2 loafs for home. Definitely our go to breakfast spot.

Well somebody recommended this on Salem eats and so I had to run out and try it. My friend and I each had one. 1 with tomatoe and 1 without. I’m here to tell you that it’s in the top five best sandwiches I’ve ever had in my entire life. The flavors going on in that turkey bacon avocado cranberry cream cheese croissant sandwich is out of this world! The ingredients were also very elevated. The bacon that you can’t hardly find anymore was on this sandwich. It’s the little details that made it so great! Blow up the image on the bacon and look at the way it was perfectly cooked with no unrendered fat . Look how thinly sliced the red onions are as to not overpower the avocado and turkey . Those little details really made this sandwich pop! I go out five or six times to find one place like this that checks all the boxes on great food, great service, great atmosphere and an extremely clean restaurant. I can hardly wait to go try their country fried steak that they make in-house and hand batter. Stay tuned for more in depth reviews on this place.

Stopped in for a spontaneous Linner… we had a delicious club sandwich and a giant chef salad! Absolutely wonderful meal!

Keep up the great food and excellence service — and we’ll definitely be back!

The food was okay. Average typical breakfast, but service was horrible. Stopped by on a Sunday and expected a wait but not 20 minutes to be served water or get our order. Waited an additional hour for our breakfast. This was just two adults, not a big party. Total was 1 hr and 20 minutes before getting our food. Not only that but one of our dishes was not correct, but decided to not bring it up. Hopefully service and food time improves. Wasn’t the only one disappointed and waiting, plenty of people seemed to be waiting some time.

This was my first time eating here and it was delicious, proportioned, and reasonably priced. After a 2 hour drive, it was worth it. Thank you for lunch.
