Lou’s Deli absolutely crushes the Reuben—piled high with tender corned beef, perfectly melted Swiss, sauerkraut with the right tang, and rich dressing on toasted bread. The homemade hot pepper sauce on the side takes it to another level, adding just the right heat and flavor. Hands down one of the best Reubens around.

Great find! We were in the area on a Saturday afternoon, found Lou’s Deli with good reviews and headed straight over. We were greeted and welcomed up to the counter and shown the menu and also how we could build our own sandwiches. Hubby and I each had The Paulie which was delicious – pesto and balsalmic were amazing and the bread was perfect! We also shared a Cobb salad (it was gorgeous and fresh- sorry no pic – it went too fast!).

Overall – friendly service, delicious fresh food, reasonable prices for the quality, cool vibes/ambiance, and clean too! Would definitely return and highly recommend!

Sandwich was fantastic. I had one of their specials. Their space was lush and their bathroom was clean. The service was okay. He walked through the menu and answered my questions. It doesn’t matter if you order-in or take-out, the food is wrapped the same way. Its messy for ordering-in. The atmosphere was solid, I liked their decor. Worthy of a lunchtime stop.

Stumbling upon Lou’s Deli during a deli expedition was a stroke of luck. This cozy Lowell gem exudes a nostalgic charm that evokes a sense of familiarity.

With a menu boasting an impressive selection of sandwiches, Lou’s Deli stands out with their tantalizing creations. On my first visit, I relished in the Spicy Italy, a flavor explosion of mortadella, sopressata, capicola, and pepperoni, topped with chipotle mayo and just the right amount of heat. My second visit saw me savoring the Tony Soprano, a classic combination of meats, provolone, and fresh veggies. Both sandwiches were exceptional, showcasing the deli’s attention to quality and flavor.

The service at Lou’s Deli is top-notch, with friendly staff eager to ensure a satisfying dining experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a casual lunch or a quick bite to go. Lou’s Deli has quickly become one of my favorite deli destinations, and I highly recommend it to anyone craving a delectable and nostalgic sandwich experience.

I ate here during my jury duty lunch break at Lowell Justice Center. Ordered online and took the easy walk to Lou’s. The Cal Beef sandwich was delicious. Not a lot of seating but I found a table no problem. Creative sandwich menu, or build your own. Recommended!

I’ve been going to this place for a year or two now just because the sandwiches are amazing, but today I had an experience that drove me to write a review. I’m sitting by the window about to eat a sandwich and a woman down on her luck motions to me that she is hungry and she wants food. I hesitate for a moment before wrapping up half my sandwich and I started to bring it outside for her, but the employee stopped me and said “don’t worry man I got it” and brought her out a fresh sandwich and a water. This was an amazing act of kindness and just makes me love this place that much more. Come support Lou’s.

Really delicious sandwiches with fresh ingredients. Lots of meat and toppings and nice bread. The sub juice (basically a red wine vinaigrette type dressing) complements the sandwiches well. Good smoothies as well. Also a good selection of condiments, especially hot sauces. I also tried the macaroni salad, and liked the tangy taste and creamy but not gloppy consistency.

Lou’s has quickly become one of my favorite sandwich spots. There are many sandwich shops in the world – but Lous landed very well to my tastes. I ordered several sandwiches to try:

Tony (Italian): Very good
Spring (chicken salad): Very good
Cubano: Good

Prices are agreeable. Ingredients are fresh, and each bite feels great. I will be back.

One of the best BLT(A)s iv had in two years, and the peanut butter breath smoothie was really good too.
Bread was lightly toasted, just the right amount of bacon and fresh sliced avocado, plus well priced for its size. It was not overly heavy and ultimately rather satisfying to eat (like texture wise or whatever).

Smoothie was not overly nutty, sweet, or banana-ey, making it very refreshing. It was also not super viscus, meaning it was a bit easier to actually drink.

Defiantly going to be coming back here for lunch more often (need to try the beef dip and the Ruben!)

Had lunch here for the first time today. Excellent sandwiches (and good selection thereof). Two complaints, however. First, I am not a fan of bottled soda or lemonade, Two, the deli itself is very pleasant, but the area is inhabited by a substantial homeless population, who wait for the nearby shelter to open at 4 pm. For my friend and I, this was a spoiler.
