This is by far my favorite restaurant in Seattle! This is my 4th visit & I can’t say enough that the chicken was the best roasted chicken I’ve ever had! The sherry sauce & veggies complimented it so well. Of course, I’ll be back to try more new items!

I’m so serious, this was the best chicken I’ve had in my life ❤️ get the half chicken with morels in sherry sauce, it is so, so delicious. My mom had the french onion soup and said it was really yummy. The atmosphere is super warm and cozy, we even loved their playlist. The wine list was creatively described and had us ordering multiple different glasses just to give them a try. All in all we had a wonderful dinner and will definitely be recommending to our friends and returning when we can! Highly recommend!!

Unfortunately we were very disappointed by L’Oursin. The oysters and salade fermiere (not pictured) were very good, but the Halibut was so bad that it ruined the whole meal and the two glasses of wine we tried tasted like they had gone bad. We sent our first glass of wine back as it was insanely, overly mineralic and didn’t fit the full bodied, velvety description as promised. For the second glass we tired moved from a Oregon wine to a French. It had the exact same problem and tasted like a bottle that was improperly stored and got caught in summer heat. We learned from looking up the wines after that they’re serving natural wines, which explains the flavor. However, I’ve had some great well-balanced natural wines, so the somme needs to keep searching. The Halibut is the worst fish dish I’ve ever had. The server recommended it and we were so disappointed when a steamed, goopy mess came out. It had no flavor or texture. I had high hopes for L’Oursin and some of the dishes that came by looked better, so maybe one day we’ll give it another chance, but for $48s an entree I expect every entree to be stellar.

After our most recent trip here this place is going in the regular rotation. Perfect blend of neighborhood brasserie and dinner seating. The chef’s flavors are amazing, and the focus on seasonal herbs has noticeably improved. We had a scallop and morel dish that rivals some Michelin starred dishes. The cocktail menu has also elevated the stories that go with each drink.

A very pleasant dining experience. Servers were attentive and very kind. The food was excellent and hearty portions for the price. I would love to come back when the seasonal menu changes. They had a very impressive wine menu and had it not been “dry January” I would have ordered a glass/bottle. The crème brûlée was by far my favorite thing and I will be coming back to get it again. I also appreciated that they added 20% service charge to the bill so no tipping is required. I love and support any restaurant that provides its staff with a guaranteed living wage. It’s definitely worth a try.

Fine dining quality food in an unpretentious setting. Sat at the bar and had a truly delicious dinner. They offer some really interesting wines by the glass, and the open plan kitchen offers a nice compliment to the understated dining room. Be sure to stop in on a Monday for their burger special!

Two years ago, the food was better. The terrine de foie gras was the brightest of the items we ordered. The pate en croute was OK, but was nothing to write home about. The escargot was the most disappointing, almost no flavor at all. The menu states “French snails broiled with parsley-spinach butter” and that had to have been the extent of the ingredients used. No garlic, and I couldn’t even taste the fat solids of the butter. Did they use clarified butter? If so, that was a mistake. All three of us in our party had the Steak-frites. The steak was tender with good flavor, but the sauce au poivre was again bland. If this sauce had cognac in it, I certainly could not taste it, and I’m a non-smoker that hardly ever drinks liquor. The frites were not done the way they do it in France, which is crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside. I can only think that they lost their chef since our previous visit. Don’t see us returning. A shame it used to be one of the better French restaurants in Seattle.
