I ordered 2 crispy tacos combination plate. Overall the food was good. Crispiest taco shells ever! Tacos nice although it does seem they used roasted chicken breast, which would be good (compared to a lot of places use a steam table wet chicken mix), but the chicken was a little dry and over browned. The other taco fillings were good and eating enjoyment was there, and beans and rice were good. The small dining area is clean but hard metal chairs are not comfortable.

I love their chicken soup but within the last few years, prices have continually gone up. I remember it was 8.49 and now I’m paying $13 for soup. I know it’s inflation but I start to ask myself if I want a bowl of chicken, rice, and vegetables OR just soup for the same price.

Lourdes is a great Mexican place. I go to Cardiff location a ton and was excited to try their Carlsbad location. Very clean restaurant. The breakfast burrito #5 and surf and turf burrito are my favorites. Everything I’ve tried is good. Soup is tasty too.

Finally a Lourdes in my area! They have the best chicken soup with lots of fresh chicken, avocado and cilantro. It’s a bit spicy which makes it even better. The place has only been open for about 5 weeks, it’s very clean including the restroom and has great customer service. I’m so glad they come to Carlsbad.

I’ve been coming here since they opened. They have been semi good at listening to my requests . I was disappointed today when I specifically said, not a lot of chicken in my soup. I’m all about the broth. Tonight picking up my order, getting home, my soup was full of chicken and barely any broth. Maybe the girl who took my order made mistake as she actually repeated my order, or the cooks just made it their own way. I’ll give them one more time to get it right. My rating is based off their chicken soup! That soup is phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and grab some of their habanero sauce and drop it into the soup, obviously only add what you can handle. The flavors are amazing and so nice on a nice fresh evening.

I’ve eaten at the Carlsbad location twice and while the food is good, the lunch time counter gal is really hating her job. Both times I was eating “in” and she just slammed down the bag of food, packed for takeout, in front of me at the table. No friendly greeting when I walked in. Weird. Both times I only ate there because I was waiting for my dog at the vet next door. In the future I’ll hit the Carl’s Jr. instead. Too bad.

It’s just a taco shop, but the food here is very tasty. You can taste that the proteins are well seasoned. I think they’re family owned and ran. You can tell, both the cashier and kitchen, care a little bit more than the typical taco shop/truck.
Lastly, the food is very fairly priced, and with more than fair portions. Every time I have visited Lourdes, I have been 100% satisfied. .
