1 burrito was $18!!!!!! I think you can provide me with hot sauce for it! It’s absolutely ridiculous to not take care of your customers that are ordering through doordash when they are already paying a premium on each burrito.
This has put a horrible taste in my mouth with this restaurant that they cant give hot sauce. I’m not sure about you, but my burrito is ruined without hot sauce and definitely not worth the $18 I paid for 1 burrito and now have no hot sauce for it.
-Disappointed customer
The location for this restaurant is perfect, but it services a wealthy community, and as predicted, the food quality is anything BUT authentic.
They know these people will pay top dollar, so unfortunately, they don’t really care for the quality.
The Caldo de Pollo was very disappointing.
I think they wanted to double-check to make sure the chicken was dead, so they made sure to cook it bone dry just in case.
Was chewing on that thing as if it was days-old dry gum under the sun.
They also didn’t bother shredding the chicken in the soup.
They just threw a large piece of bland meat there the size of the palm of your hand and said, ” Bon Appetit.”
The rice had been undercooked and was lacking flavor.
Everything else was fine.
Like I said, the location is great, but for that price, at the very LEAST, it should be good.
Didn’t even come with a drink
If you saw the name of this location and wondered if it was in any way related to the Lourdes in Escondido, then you are tonight’s Grand Prize Winner! (Details for how to claim your prize are included at the end of this post. )
A few years back Lourdes may have added this San Elijo Hills location, but fear not. They packed all of their quality recipes into the moving trucks and brought them along. Their new digs offer indoor and outdoor seating and the Reggaeton music they played during our visit matched the vibe really well.
While the Chicken Rolled Tacos were…fine, the story of this visit is the Grilled Chicken, Carnitas, and Grilled Fish Tacos. All three are worth driving for. And speaking of worth the drive (Grand Prize spoiler alert), the Caldo de Pollo (Chicken Soup) is REALLY good. Although we do remember this review is focused on tacos, we couldn’t overlook an opportunity to shine a light on this item. While we wish all of our readers only the best, if you do find yourself feeling under the weather, several Review Team Members speak from personal experience when attesting to the healing qualities of the Caldo de Pollo.
And that’s…Henry’s Take.

The staff is very friendly and the location is easy to get to and park. Check it out.
I will not go back.
Decent guacamole, tasty carne asada burrito, and good chicken tortilla soup. They have a nice spot with a pleasant outdoor area that gets shaded in the afternoon / evening.
They claim the chicken soup is the best in town. I’m not sure whether that’s true but it had good chicken flavor and a nice little spice kick (but not too much). I’d give a thumbs up.
My only reason for not giving five stars is that I wasn’t big on the chips. That’s a preference thing, but I like my chips a little lighter and saltier.
