Loulu is the high end cafe and all-day grocery / snack / fingerfood store at the Grand Wailea Waldorf Astoria resort. Accessible from the lobby area within the Shops, also by a ramp for handicap access. Outdoor patio with resort view, but limited ocean view. Curated by Erewhon from LA – do I need to say more?? What a fashionable topic for all the influencers ;). High-end items and top quality throughout. If you believe resort pricing is typically expensive, you are mistaken. Crazy prices with top markups. Friendly service and stylish clean atmosphere. We tried the smoothies, indeed very good and tasty. IMHO not justified prices at all. We could ease the $ pain by using our daily F&B credits fortunately. Would I return? Likely not. YMMV.

The Love and Lava sundae was absolutely worth the visit. Prices are expensive but to be expected. Unfortunately, only one employee was working without assistance, which led to a long and frustrating wait.

This place is a optional mostly because of the class you make it so special. Every single morning of my vacation I was greeted with smiles and remembering my name. Maria and Denise were fantastic and always so cheerful, but every single woman that works here is incredible. (I didn’t interact with any men) I was blown away by the service and hospitality. It really made my day worthwhile and it was always a delight, walking in and getting a delicious coffee. The food is amazing and everything top tier!

Got raw chicken 🙁 Food was good if properly cooked. Second time I went there I got raw chicken. Walked entire two building wings to return the food. They fried the replacement chicken with the chicken cut open and covered the chicken when giving to me (I assume so that I don’t see it cut open?) It’s not pink anymore but definitely dry.

Only one person working… The problem was they were in such a hurry that packed the food instantly. Both lids melted onto the foot and the sauce containers on top with them. Very gross and unhygienic. Also typically when food is insanely hot, food handling rules say to have holes in the lid

We stayed at Grand wailea and ate twice here at Loulu’s. The first experience was good, we ordered korean fried chicken and we did enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the second was not. We ordered half fried chicken and when we got in our room, the chicken is not golden brown but almost burnt. Chicken skin is bitter, hard and it tasted fish and very bland. Front desk connected us to Loulu’s and they were happy to replace the entire order, no questions, no fuss. Although the replacement was cooked, but still its bitter, slightly salted now on the outside, tasted fish still, hard chicken skin, and almost burnt. Just not worthy of a $36 meal.

I don’t really get the bad reviews. Perhaps things have changed since. We ordered a few things from this place since it was close to our room. We loved everything we ordered. No complaints. In fact i wish we were still there to order again. Food was fresh and had good flavor. Yes it was pricey but that’s expected at a resort. Customer service was great.

Came here for the viral lava sundae, it was mediocre. I also ordered a coffee, while the sundae look 5 minutes to make the coffee took 40 min, not even kidding. The lady waiting said she has been waiting for a long time too. DO NOT come here for coffee.

Service is fast and friendly despite all us annoying tourists.
The food is what can take a long time coming out, which is pretty obvious when one sees a line out the door.
If one doesn’t want to wait for food, just grab one of the ready made sandwiches and/or salads.
As someone who doesn’t live in the USA anymore, it was great to see Erewhon products sold in Maui.

We tasted quite a number of items during our 5-day stay here at the Grand Wailea. We tried Margarita pizza, Açaí Bowl, the Buddha Bowl, Spicy Hawaiian Pizza, Korean Fried Chicken and the fresh-cut pineapple. Even though this was labeled as a cafe – the food was quite good and was always prepared fresh and the staff were also very nice. The Buddha Bowl was our favorite item; it is a vegetarian bowl with fresh vegetables, chickpeas and hummus. The Margarita pizza was our second favorite. Definitely recommend visiting this restaurant if you have a daily credit to spend as part of your Diamond status.
