Picture this: August 2025, hot sun beating down, and my sweet tooth was practically staging a protest. I stumbled upon Louisville Cream.
As soon as I stepped inside, it felt like I’d entered a cozy ice cream utopia. The decor was so charming that I half expected to see a couple of squirrels in aprons serving scoops. The staff was like an ensemble cast from a feel-good movie, treating every customer like they were the long-lost friend they hadn’t seen in years. In fact, I think I saw one of them give a kid a high-five while simultaneously scooping the most delicious-looking cone I’d ever laid eyes on.
Even with a line stretching out the door, they worked their magic in that tiny workspace like seasoned wizards. It was like watching a well-rehearsed dance scoops flying, and smiles all around. I stood there, mesmerized, wondering if they were secretly training for an ice cream Olympics.
Now, let’s talk about the ice cream itself. Oh. My. Goodness. It was quite possibly the best ice cream I’ve ever had. The flavors? Uniquely crafted, as if each one had a story of its own.
So here I am, back in Texas, and I can’t help but reminisce about that magical day. If you ever find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and stop go! Just be prepared to fall in love with ice cream all over again. You might even find yourself plotting your next visit before you even leave the shop!

The peanut butter fudge sundae was $15.00. The inside of this ice cream shop was clean and nicely decorated. The service was fine.

I really LOVE this ice cream shop. However, after scanning the ingredients with Bare Label, I noticed the use of partially hydrogenated cottonseed oil, which is a known source of artificial trans fats that have been widely linked to cardiovascular health risks and are largely banned in the U.S., with only trace amounts still legally permitted. This ONE ingredient brought the Banana Pudding ice cream down to a 55% safety score!
That’s barely above failing, especially for a brand that markets itself as “all natural” and claims to source the best ingredients. Using a toxic ingredient that drags the score down that far directly contradicts their branding, which is a trust issue, not just a formulation flaw.
I’m sharing this in the hope that the shop considers switching to fully non-hydrogenated, cleaner ingredients, which would make an already great product even better and align with what many health conscious consumers are looking for.

Delicious selection of ice cream!!! Loved the flight giving me the opportunity to try 4 different ice creams!!! All 4 were outstanding!!!

Coming to Louisville Cream is usually a highlight of our trip to this area and we often visit at least a couple of times. Today we drove 3 vehicles 45 minutes and paid $32 to park and almost $40 for the ice cream. Ice cream was great. Staff was not particularly friendly. Disappointed this time.

This place is very busy!! We went on Sunday, Father’s Day. The line was out the door and it took a bit to get up to the ordering window. I tried the banana pudding ice cream! It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had. It tasted quite salty at the beginning, but the more I ate it, the better it got. Still, it wouldn’t be my first pick for banana ice cream. The selection of flavors was a bit small too. All in all it was a nice treat on a warm day!

It’s silly good and silly expensive and worth every dollar. The caramelized bananas are just unfair, there’s no way you cannot eat them. The same applies to the toasted marshmallow topping. Pretty much, everything and every flavor here you are just going to have to eat it all. So enjoy!

In true Louisville fashion, Louisville cream is fine, I guess, but leaves much to be desired. Their flavor selection seemed good, and their portion size generous, however the taste of the flavors didn’t really come through. The pistachio ice cream tasted like butter pecan but if the pecans were taken out so you just have the afterthought of pecan, but green. The banana pudding tasted TOO MUCH like banana pudding and it was weird. It was like eating really cold banana pudding. Then, there were the bucket people… Also the music selection was poor, I don’t want to hear the shots song while I’m eating Louisville cream.

The line may be out the door but don’t turn around! Our servers moved quick and everything was well made right in front of us including toasted marshmallows! We will definitely return. I had off white cookie and cream sandwich on banana pudding cookie, the whole is quite large!

We got the strawberry blondie and s’mores sundays. Same price, $12. I thought the s’mores was worth it, but the strawberry blondie was very disappointing compared to the s’mores. Smaller, less icecream, 1/3 was just whipped cream.
The staff were ok. They were not very welcoming but got the job done and said thank you.
They were also playing loud scream/metal music with cuss words, so I would say not very kid friendly.
I would give 3 stars, but I had also visited there once before this visit where we just all had icecream scoops and their icecream is extremely good. The service was better the last time I went as well.
