Beautiful atmosphere, especially on the patio when the weather is nice. Perfect service. Attentive but never lingering or visiting too often. Aaron and Carter make a great duo. I highly recommend the blackened scallop appetizer! Make sure you create a perfect bite with the scallop, pineapple, and butter. You cannot go wrong with any entree! Bayou Grouper is one of the best meals I’ve had in quite a while!

Our food and service was fantastic! Joel was our waiter and he was amazing at accommodating our groups wants/needs. We found this place by word of some regulars and we were all very impressed with everything we got. Every table starts off with a serving of fresh hush puppies and each main course is served with a salad and twice baked potatoes. If you sit outside the view of the sunset is really amazing to see. And for dessert, the key lime pie was delicious!

Overall the food was pretty good, although the lobster on my grouper was overcooked. What made the experience not great was the service. Our server, Taylor, was horrible. It was a Wednesday night and they were really busy. We waited 45 minutes for a table for 2. But when finally seated I like to be greeted by my server, well… we had to wait another 20 minutes. No apology no saying those two magic words. No explanation of the menu or highlight great dishes. Nope. So we ordered on her first visit. Then she never came by to check on us again. We had to flag her down for boxes and our check. We won’t be coming back.

We had a wonderful dinner at the lagniappe tonight. I had the grouper lagniappe which was sauteed grouper topped with lobster and hollandaise sauce accompanied by fresh vegetables and salad. We had jambalaya with twice baked potatoes, chicken Alfredo with twice baked potatoes. We had fried blue crab claws as an appetizer. Service was outstanding and friendly, it was a lovely evening.

We’ve always loved Lagniapppe when we stay at Sandpiper, but we love it mainly because it’s kinda fancy, has great service and brings back lots of memories. The food is pretty good, but for the price- you’re really paying for the atmosphere and service. So many other great places to get fabulous food and reliable service without dropping $60 per head – without alcohol, appetizers and dessert. Our favorite food was the Pecan Grouper, Stuffed Red Fish and Shrimo & Grits… everyone loved their twice baked potatoes.

Excellent food and service! Soup is delicious. Seafood gumbo. Salad was a tad bland but still ok. Dinner. Grouper with shrimp in hollandaise sauce. Great views too!
