Girl that loves to travel
Macaroni and cheese had so much pepper what is seen on the plate is what I left, couldn’t eat the rest. Chicken was uncooked, with fried chicken wings, you should be able to crack them with ease, the bone should not be purple, and juices should be clear, not red. I also didn’t get any cornbread with my meal?? I’m cool.

Love the music and energy of the space. When you can’t go to New Orleans, go to restaurants that feel like NOLA. I think this was my 2nd or 3rd visit, but we’ve never been there when their desserts are available.
The two items we ordered came out about 8 minutes apart. That was a little awkward seeing as there were two of us eating.
The server let me know the kitchen had thrown in an extra piece of fish so the photo below may be more fish than you’d get with a standard order.
I only ate the extra piece though.
The ones under neath were tough and fishy. And I’m a fish guy, so that’s not something I experience regularly.
That top piece was perfect though!
Crunchy. Hot. Thick. Fresh.
Seriously yummy with their house sauce. I had the red snapper.
The other photo is their “Heavenly Fries” which has lots of BBQ and house sauce and some juicy battered shrimp.

The food did not disappoint. I got the three way combo fried chicken, ribs, and catfish. All the meats were cooked perfectly and seasoned like I was at a family cookout with the aunties and uncles. The sides were so delicious! My favorite was the cabbage and mac n cheese!! I will be coming back!

This restaurant isn’t very pretty, just a little establishment in the corner hidden from most views, and the inside isn’t much nicer. Their profits are not going to a nice building, but where they shine is where it matters the most. THE FOOD. I ordered the 3 way. RIBS, SHRIMP, HOT LINKS. Food was very favorable and potions were not huge but just right. I ordered to go and they put utensils, sauce, ketchup, hot sauce in the bag. I received beans and rice, and potato salad for sides for a total cost of 45 dollars and it was a full meal for two people who eat light.
I want to give a honorable mention as I was paying, I noticed I forgot a drink. I requested the mango drink and they complied. When I looked at my receipt, I didn’t see the charge and said something. She responded “I gotcha”. A free drink on the house.
Here’s where improvements can be made. Meat is expensive and I understand the portions sizes. However, one could provide a lot more beans&rices and potato salad. Those items are cheap and providing more would make the meal feel more valuable and fill up heavy eaters.
I will eat here again.

First and last visit. I had the chicken and sausage gumbo. It was full of sausage and tender chicken. The gumbo was extremely salty with little flavor and too spicy hot for my taste. I ate most but left the remainder behind. The young woman was fantastic she was order taker waitress and bus girl with a good attitude. The first booth I sat at reiked of urine so I moved to a different one.

This place has went down all the way the young light skin girl her attitude stinks bad she to busy trying to be cute instead of working. She drop hella of the little cups for the ketchup or whatever little condiments can go inside on the floor and didn’t even throw them in the trash. She keep pulling up her pants touching on different stuff without washing her hands. They were out of ribs. Place just not a vibe anymore i will never return to this place again & we drove all the way to sac just for the bad attitude and out of food never again

Bomb! Staff is friendly and welcoming. We tried the 2 meat order with 2 sides. I had the catfish and ribs with mac n cheese and cabbage. My wife had red snapper and fried chicken wings with red beans and rice and cabbage. Everything was seasoned well and juicy! For drinks I had the strawberry lemonade and my wife had the mango strawberry lemonade. We will definitely be back!

I’m very happy to have found this place. The customer service was great, I didn’t have a long wait and the establishment Was very clean. When I got home and open my plate I noticed they give really good portion sizes. I am super pleased to say I enjoyed my visit and the food was fantastic and will be coming back soon. I highly recommend.
