There are several Louisiana Fried Chicken spots in LA County, but the one on Normandie has always had a reputation for being one of the best. I remember when the lines used to be long back in the day.
I ordered a 15-piece family meal with fried rice and French fries. Everything was seasoned really well and cooked just right. The food was fresh and they were fast with preparing it. The family meal was $38.99, which felt affordable for the amount of food.
When I brought it home, my husband’s eyes lit up, especially since I mostly eat vegan and don’t usually buy or cook meat. That alone made it worth it.
If you’re craving fried chicken and want something dependable, this location has been consistent.

Ok this USED TO BE THE BEST one in all of Cali but what happened?!! They trick u with fresh French fries so u drive off thinking ur good to go and then you get home and bite into the chicken and there’s no authentic Louisiana famous fried chicken flavor anymore. Reheated OLD chicken!! They are either mixing in more plain flour with their seasoned flour or they have changed the recipe but I won’t be back. I saw a sign in the window that reads, “2 PC Leg and Thigh with Biscuit $5”. When I go into the drive thru, I’m told that the special in question, is only on certain days. That was annoying because the sign doesn’t say that. So, it was the equivalent to “Click Bait”. Then, I asked the price for a 2 PC and a Biscuit, and I was told it would be $7 & something. So, I ordered it. When I got the receipt, I discovered that the female charged me for two 1 PC & a Biscuit meals, @ $3.46 each. Go figure. Then, when I got the chicken, it was full of fat and the skin was chewy, beneath the crisp breading.
