This was my first visit to this establishment. The restaurant wasn’t busy and the guy at the front deal was very nice and accommodating. I was craving crispy fried fish so I ordered 2 fried red fish dinner plates with greens beans and coleslaw. I also order 4 fried boudin balls. I asked the man how many pieces of fish come with a dinner for $15.59? He replied three pieces of fish and two sides. The boudin balls were 4 for $10.99.
I paid $52.24 which included a 15% tip.
He said it would be ready in 15 minutes. Perfect.
He brought the food to me and I took it home. Upon arriving home to eat with my husband, the first thing I noticed was how oddly thin cut the fried pieces of fish were. Basically you are NOT getting three filets. They cut filets in half and fry you a strip. In actuality you are getting 1 and a half filets. See photo.
Their fried fish was not crispy, it had chewy tough ends. Was not good at all. Surprisingly, the greens beans were steamed good and were fair. All I had to add was a little salt and they were edible. The coleslaw was too sweet. It was so yuk, I threw it away. I was very disappointed.
The boudin balls were very chewy.
This is not a good place to go if you want crispy fried fish. I spent way too much money not to be satisfied. I feel ripped off. I feel like I should have went to chicken express and let them fry my fish, I just didn’t want catfish. I would not recommend.

quiet little place, very nice after a long day at a busy renn faire. we were served by alondra; she was incredibly nice!
fish was soft and flaky under the fried crust, hush puppies were delicious and fluffy. my boyfriend and i split a seafood platter for around $20 and we still came out with enough leftovers for another meal for two.
i’m very impressed! i’ll be coming back next year.

Food was super fresh and well seasoned. Staff was also friendly. I ordered the catfish and shrimp lunch special, kids popcorn shrimp meal, and boudin balls. The boudin balls were delicious! Not soggy or greasy what so ever.

Friends like it, for us maybe not so much. Lunch was $65 for 2, drinking water and tea, in a strip center, perhaps a bit high. Gumbo was tasty but way too salty. Blackened shrimp were good but way too few. Highlight was cajun pasta but that a bit too salty as well. All in all far too expensive for what it is.

Ordered a grilled shrimp poboy and Cajun catfish for pickup and it was delicious. The service was amazing as well, thanks for the pro tip to order directly through the restaurant. The praline was a perfect finish on a rainy day. Will be back for sure.

What a fantastic meal. We weren’t quite sure what we were looking for when we came in but upon seeing the pictures of the food we chose the burrito and the tacos. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. It was a huge meal and the staff was great. We will return.

I have zero negative things to say about Louisiana Fish House. I had the boudain egg roll and Cajun Catfish Etouffee. It was amazing. We ordered thru a delivery service and it was at our motel quickly. Still hot and amazing. Nothing but great things from me about this place!!

This place is typically a great lunch spot that I hit up regularly. They lost a customer today. I ordered grilled redfish that tasted and smelled pretty funky. When I brought this to their attention said there was nothing they could do since I had already taken 2-3 bites of the fish. I should have walked out as soon as I walked in due to the aroma of a bait shop.

My boyfriend and I arrived about 25 minutes before they closed, yet they were still so friendly. We were placing a to go order. We actually ordered crawfish etouffee, popcorn shrimp, red beans & rice, boudin balls, and the seafood burrito. For dessert, we got the strawberry cheesecake and chocolate cake. Everything was wonderful. The étouffée was started with a homemade roux. You know you can taste the difference in a homemade roux and a packaged one. The staff was so friendly, the place had a relaxed feel with photos of their entrees hanging on the walls. We will certainly be back. I think this is our new favorite restaurant.

This a great place. Food was good and the service was great. Tried the fish tacos, seafood burrito and Cajun pasta. The atmosphere wasn’t great, pretty plain place but it was clean. I will be going again for sure. If you are looking for good Cajun food on 1488 I would recommend this over some other places for sure.
