I had an unforgettable mid-day dining experience at Louisiana Bistro, highlighted by a show-stopping plate of Redfish Pontchartrain that deserves its own spotlight. The dish arrived beautifully presented… a perfectly blackened fillet layered with Gulf shrimp and finished with a velvety, deeply seasoned cream sauce. Every bite was a masterclass in classic Louisiana flavor… bold, soulful, and impeccably balanced.

The sides were just as impressive. The smoky corn maque choux and savory dirty rice complemented the richness of the fish without overwhelming it, creating a harmonious blend that felt both comforting and elevated. It was the kind of meal you slow down for just to savor each element.

We had a minor correction along the way, but the management handled it with such grace and professionalism that it actually enhanced the experience. Combine that with a genuinely warm, attentive waitress, and the evening felt like true Southern hospitality at its finest.

Louisiana Bistro delivered a five-star meal and service to match. The Redfish Pontchartrain alone is worth the visit. This was a dish I’ll be thinking about long after the last bite.

I recently stopped by this Cajun restaurant and everything was on point. I had the broiled oysters, a crab cake, and the drink flight, and all of it was genuinely great. The service was immaculate the entire time and parking was easy, which I appreciated. The owner was also very personable and made the experience feel even more welcoming. I’ll definitely be back.

My first visit to Louisiana Bistreaux was on Sunday, Jan 4. I came with a Road Scholar group. As such, we dined in a separate room along with a prepared menu. Chef salad wasn’t an option, and I didn’t care for salad. But I had a choice of sauce to go with it. I picked blue cheese, which was so good that it has become my official salad sauce going forward. For entree, I chose blackened salmon and Orleans shrimp with (white) rice and corn maque choux. The salmon fillets were prepared well done. Its mild toughness was noted as well as the strong taste of being grilled. The shrimps were alright, and the corn kernels were mildly spicy but tasty. Dessert was bread pudding (no choice on that one). I didn’t care for it, but it didn’t ruin the experience. Overall, I had a great impression of Louisiana Bistreaux and decided to return for Tuesday dinner. I was later informed that a live jazz band performs every Tuesday. This would be a good opportunity to find out.

On Tuesday, Jan 6, I showed up and was led to a table in the main dining area where the band was getting ready to perform. As I was the only customer in this area, I was allowed to choose where I wanted to sit. I chose the table at furthest corner to the left from the band. The other customers were at the bar counter and in another dining area, both areas behind the main dining area. I wanted a fish entree and was deciding between the three redfishes: Louisianne, Ponchartrain or plain blackened. My waiter Shaniya recommended the Ponchartrain. It was delightful, the right level of tender with its flavor complimented well with the etouffee sauce. The last time I had redfish this good was at Pappadeaux in Austin, TX over 10 years ago. The shrimps, corn maque choux (same one that came with the blackened salmon from Sunday night) and dirty rice all went well together in flavor and texture.

I enjoyed the live jazz performance. It wasn’t obnoxious or overwhelming loud like Applebee’s. That Shaniya and I could hear each other demonstrated respect of the restaurant for the dine-in customers. My compliments to the band leader, who came to my table to make sure I was having a good time. I affirmed so. Shaniya too came by a few times to check on me. I also appreciated being allowed to stay and listen to the band after finishing my dinner, with Shaniya filling up my water glass. After the band went on break – almost an hour later – I left her a generous tip in cash.

In my experience, it is very difficult for any restaurant to excel in food, service and atmosphere. Louisiana Bistreaux hit all that out of the park. If you don’t care for live music performance, come on any other day but Tuesday. I highly recommend this place, and will return if I ever visit this part of Atlanta.

Simply Amazing. The food, the service, and the atmosphere was great.

Yasmina, server, had great energy. She was exceptional. Providing ordering recommendations and answering my party’s questions. Yasmine checked in often, was very interpersonal, and very patient.

The atmosphere was very NOLA from the pictures to the music. The interior of the restaurant definately set the vibe.

Ordered the Grilled Salmon Filet. It was good, the the Crawfish bits Hollandaise sauce was a perfect complement. The white rice and green beans finished the plate.

Also ordered the Fried Catfish, diced potatoes and coleslaw. Fish and potatoes fried to perfection and the coleslaw was crunchy with a bit of citrus.

Had both a Passion Fruit Hurricane and a Category 5 Hurricane. Both were good and strong. Passion Fruit version was different but sided with the Category 5.

Ended everything with a Carrot Cake Chessecake. Celebrating my mom’s birthday. The cake was rich and mom loved it.

I have been coming here for the last few years on special occasions. They have the best seafood. I drive almost an hour every time and recommend this restaurant to everyone because it’s just that fantastic! The manager Osif made my birthday dinner very special. I came on 10/29/2025 and he came to ask how everything was and when I told him it was my birthday and how far I drove he gave me free beignets on the house. It not only made my night but my birthday over all. I will continue to come here and rave this restaurant to everyone I talk to! (I warmed the beignets when I got home and they were so delicious!)

The food was amazing. They had a wonderful deal on oysters and the rest of the food was reasonably priced. The music was not too loud but at a volume at which I could have a conversation and be heard. The restaurant was clean and the environment was warm and inviting. Taylor was our waitress. Taylor was friendly and informative. She was not only attentive but aided us in our food and drink selections as her knowledge of the menu was extensive. We will definitely go back and hopefully be served by Taylor again
