Sunday morning breakfast at Louisa’s.
Ordered a biscuit with gravy, scrambled eggs with French toast, and eggs over-easy with hashbrowns, bacon, and toast. Cozy seating in an old house converted into a restaurant — full of charm and comfort. Great food and friendly atmosphere. Don’t miss this breakfast stop!

Every town has their gem for eating and this place is the one for breakfast and lunch in Eagle Lake, Tx. The wife and I have gone a few times now and have never been disappointed.
Your first thoughts while walking up are of going to grandma’s house for breakfast in her turn-of-the-century home. You are not disappointed in the level of service as they cater to your every need. The atmosphere is very antique which continues the “old-town”, “grandma’s house” feel.
I generally get the US Eggs and the wife has tried their waffles and pancakes in the few times we have gone. All I can say about the food is wow! Home made at it’s best. I’ll be honest and say that the first time we went, the bread was a bit “different” but since then, all excellent.
In the photos I supplied take a look at that bread slice. Its homemade! Where can you get homemade bread at breakfast time! The portions are great and the bacon is not that cheap thin sliced stuff. This is thick juicy bacon that really brings you back home. I cannot say anything about their lunch menu as we have not had the chance to go there during that period but from what I hear from neighbors and such, it’s top notch as well.
This place is an A #1 spot to visit when you are in the area and worth the trip if you are traveling.

WONDERFUL little spot just off the square in Eagle Lake. The manager and staff are so delightfully welcoming and genuinely happy that you stopped by. I live in Houston but take Alt90 to go to Bastrop about once a month and make a point to stop by. With a cozy atmosphere, it feels like a gathering of friends at someone’s home. The burgers and fries are seasoned nicely and just delicious; their seasonal coffees rival any big city coffeehouse.
If you’re passing through Eagle Lake, make sure to take time and visit Louisa’s and enjoy a wonderful meal in this beautiful little community.

Got breakfast the other day from here. 7.50 for a waffle? One waffle? Theres not even a pancake plate option. In total i spent about 20 bucks on food that was underseasoned, over priced, and just plain not worth it. Aztecas though, i can get a pancake plate for 2 pancakes, 3 eggs, bacon, and potatoes. I couldnt even finish my food here it was so bland and disappointing. It is a cute house though.

Cute old home converted to breakfast, brunch & now dinner spot in Eagle Lake. Super friendly staff and the breakfast is wonderful! Very flavorful and the price is excellent in this day of high priced mediocre restaurants. A total win for Eagle Lake, TX.❤️
