I absolutely loved the garlic bread and vegetable soup! I tried their fried catfish, but it wasn’t really my cup of tea. It was served with hush puppy and slaw, which I didn’t quite enjoy. Their salad dressing is homemade, and I’m a big fan of the blue cheese and thousand island dressing. Their famous pasta is good, but it’s not really my style. The pasta is a bit too soft, and the meat sauce doesn’t have enough Italian seasoning. The service was great, though. They even have a private room that can fit up to 30 people, which is nice. It’s not my favorite restaurant, but I’ll definitely be back!

There’s a reason Louis has been around so long.
Also, there ‘s a reason Italians call the sauce gravy.
The meatballs were all of our favorite

Next time….lasagna and baked spaghetti..
Don’t order fried seafood at a famous Italian restaurant. No complaints, there is just so much more to choose from, better Italian.
options.
The bread?

I was drawn in by the sign boldly claiming they have “the best spaghetti in town,” and was excited to try it, but unfortunately, that couldn’t be further from the truth. These are the actual pictures of the spaghetti I received and when it was placed in front of me, I almost gagged – not being dramatic, just being transparent here. The pasta was soggy and seemed like it had been cooked hours ago, the sauce wasn’t anything like the spaghetti sauce you’d expect—barely tasted tomato-based at all. It was almost brown, to the point I wondered if it was brown gravy with ground beef passed off as spaghetti sauce. I squirted a bit of ketchup on the sauce to add some kind of tomato flavor to it so I could swallow it. And the cheese on top? I still don’t know what that was.

I’m sorry if I offended anyone who commented here about how good their spaghetti is. I sincerely hope the owner rethinks the spaghetti recipe and takes the time to discover what a proper spaghetti sauce should taste like.

On a positive note, the hostesses, servers, and cashier had very pleasant attitudes. If not for them, I would have given this restaurant a 1-star rating.

When I go into an ” authentic ” Italian restaurant and find out the pizza crust is not made in house that it is in fact pre-made frozen pizza crust. If I find out its from factory made and came in on a truck , I think that Is my que the hit the door & pass on the place! I wished I would have done this today The food was truly that bad ! I started with an order of onion rings which looked amazing but there was absolutely no seasoning on them & I believe they were pre-made and thrown back in hot oil. They were
Chewy & not good waste of $8 . The lasagna wasn’t very Good & tasted like enchilada sauce. It was also a very small portion for $17 even with the soggy bread they serve you. The inside was dark & dingy but the server was actually great. I really feel like I wasted $35 after a tip for 1 person to eat and leave unsatisfied. Would not go back or recommend this JOINT to anyone!

It’s been years since I’ve eaten at Louis’ due to moving out of the area. We got together got a meal the other afternoon and I realized how much I miss it. The food is as good as it was since I started visiting in the early 1980’s. Keep it up! I will be back when in the area.

We are always satisfied every time we visit Louis! The food is always fresh and delicious. We lpve the bread they serve with the meals. We got Spaghetti and baked Spaghetti w/pepperoni this time. These dishes come with salads and homemade dressings. Our servers are always wonderful amd today was exceptionally excellent. Dane was our server and he got everything precisely right from our order, to checking in on us and made sure everything we requested was taken care of and he was professional and very personable. He made sure we had ample napkins, straws, salad dressings and fresh bread. Definitely ask for him if you want top notch service. The facility was clean. The check in and check out staff were all very courteous and professional. We got seated quickly. It’s obvious everyone there takes pride in their jobs and it’s a pleasant place to work. We love our Louis and will always return. The crowds that gather here are a perfect indication of the restaurant and speaks for itself. Thanks for the great service Dane and thanks for the yummy food to all the cooks and thanks so all the ones that greet us at check in and out.

From the moment you walk in you feel at home!!

Our waitress was amazing!! We were a group of 8 and she was so patient with us as some of our children were still deciding what to order.

My youngest even spilt hot water & she was so quick to make sure we were ok & grabbed us a towel.

The food AMAZING!!! The homemade dressings made everyone fall in love with salad. The bread is unlike any I have ever had. So perfect & soft.

If your in the area I highly recommend to stop for a bite to eat

I have been eating at Loius since I was 13 (now 46) and have ALWAYS loved every single item I have eaten here, always have been served by great staff, and over all the years and changes that have been made in the world since then, have gotten the same quality of Italian cuisine every single time! No other place that I am aware of has been able to maintain this attentiveness to their standards with the cost vs. Quality vs. Availability of ingredients within the food! I would almost guarantee that no matter the place you come from or have eaten at would ever make you shrug this restaurant away to bad food ingredients!
