Went to Louie’s Steakhouse for the first time and had a wonderful dinner. What a great first experience! Our server, Robyn was fantastic. She was very attentive and she was great at anticipating our needs. The crisps they bring out during happy hour are some of the best my husband and I have ever had (made in house). I ordered the ribeye with Oscar that came with mashed (garlic) potatoes and a nice variety of veggies. My husband had the filet mignon with Oscar and in his words, “tastes like butter”! We will definitely be back! Thank you for the lovely evening!

All in all, very friendly staff, food was great. The kitchen also feeds a pub so there was a fairly long wait time for main dishes, but apps came fast. The quality of the food made it all ok, and the waitress was impressive not having to write a single thing down for a table of 4. Not a large place but cute, has a patio on the main strip of town.

I have never been to any restaurant in the area that could cook a steak properly the first time. I was a little worried when I saw the ribeye was on the thinner side. However, my concerns were quickly thrown away as this steak was a perfect medium rare.
Our waitress, Alicia (I am sorry if I spelled it wrong), was very personable, and you can tell she genuinely enjoys her work there. She was knowledgeable about the menu, and the one thing she was unsure about, she had no problem going to ask someone else.
We ordered multiple courses, with the intention of having left overs to bring home. The food quality was consistent across all 6 dishes ordered, and we were also given a complimentary bowl of “happy hour potato chips” before we even ordered.
The food was delicious, the restaurant was clean, the courses were spaced out so the table wasn’t cluttered with dishes, and the service was impeccable. Highly recommend!

I love a great steak, and rarely treat myself to one, so booked reservations here while on a weekend getaway with my husband. Ordered the blackened ribeye and was very disappointed. I couldn’t taste anything but blackening-extremely overpowering on a very thin cut steak. Even if not blackened (maybe my mistake for not choosing charbroiled?) the cut of meat was underwhelming for the price. We managed to scrape off some seasoning, but my husband was kind enough to trade with me, so it didn’t go to waste. I probably should have said something, but they seemed to be understaffed (our server was great, but had been triple seated with guests). She’d already forgotten to put in our oyster appetizer…never received.
For dessert, we had the brownie with ice cream. It was dry! After reading reviews, perhaps all of this was an isolated incident, but Sorry to say we wouldn’t go back.

I made a reservation for two for the Valentines Menu. The four course menu with options had good variety. The first two courses were served in a timely way & good tasting. When the main course arrived my partner and I both noticed that the root vegetables were raw. The waitress heard our complaint and after we’d finished our main brought another vegetable serving. They were still raw. A server while picking up used dishes, picked up the wine bottle and began pouring more wine into our glasses without first asking . In my opinion this is not proper serving etiquette.
Our shared dessert was fine.
These issues during our dinner disappointed me. It will give me pause for thought as I consider future dining options in our city.

We had an amazing dinner, everything we ordered was delicious. The service outstanding, the staff was super friendly and nice. So helpful as they gave us plenty of recommendations about Nelson. Would definitely come back! The mushroom risotto was so good!

I stayed at a hotel and dined at their exceptional Restaurant. The atmosphere is really good—clean, spacious, and with a vast selection of drinks. Starting with a creamy and delicious prawn dish, followed by delightful pasta and a great-tasting lobster tail, although the portions on the lobster were a bit small. Justine, our server, was incredibly friendly. The service was impressively fast. I definitely plan on returning.

Haven’t had food this good in months maybe even years down in the states. Have had problems with cheap and expensive restaurants every time I dine out. Here two nights in a row were perfect and went above our expectations. 3 meals both nights, perfect quality, steak was done to our request, amazing taste, one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Mashed potatoes, even though it’s a simple dish, were amazing, also some of the best I’ve ever had easily topping all other places. Servers and who I suspect to be a manager or maybe even the owner were awesome, very friendly, didn’t miss a single thing at all both nights. I’m not usually up for talking while eating, but both nights we had great conversations. Overall everything was amazing, not a single complaint, props to the small town steakhouse! Was not expecting such amazing service and food when we can’t even get a decent meal in our big city!

Dined solo at the bar, service as friendly as can be, rib eye cooked to perfection, mouthwatering delicious, and the chocolate mousse was a delightful dessert. The Tawny port flight was AMAZING, thanks Jackie! My favorite was the 40 yr.
