Not sure what I liked more our awesome server Ashley, the food or the animals all over the walls. If you want an outstanding Alaskan restaurant experience with excellent service and delicious fresh food then definitely go here! I had the ribeye and it was outstanding. The potato fully loaded was perfect and even the green beans with bacon was delicious. The server was super cute and very attentive. I def be back this is probably one of my fav restaurants in Alaska so far.

If you like old rustic Alaskan Atmosphere, then you will like this place. To me, it seemed like it was stuck in the late 80’s or early 90’s. I had the 1# King Crab for $99.00. I question if it was fresh or frozen, because when the crab was placed in front of me, it smelled very fishy and the crab meat was not very sweet like I thought it would be. I’ve had better and sweeter crab in my home state. Not what I expected in Alaska. My wife had the Halibut, it came out with no seasoning on it and no flavor, just the taste of Halibut. We have had Halibut up here at a different Bistro place and in Seward, the Halibut was awesome and flavorful. The waitress was very slow getting the food to us and to take payment. We sat for a good 10 minutes waiting for her to take our payment.

Do not skip this place! I can only vouch for breakfast, but everything was perfection, surrounded by your favorite woodland animals. We tried quite a few things between the 4 of us, and although I could not bring myself to try the reindeer sausage, I heard that was good, too. Sorry I didn’t take a picture of our food. We ate it too fast.

Had a fantastic prime rib dinner here. The meal was supposed to be an 18oz, but when it came out it was more in line with a porter house. Basically ended up being two meals! Great food and great value, highly recommend!

Its a good place to grab food, especially when you’re staying at one of the local hotels. I recommend the seafood dishes. The ladies that were behind the bar the two times I was in were very helpful when picking my food up.

The most expensive salad I have ever ate! It cost 46.00 for basically a lettuce and tomato salad with a little bit of crab in it? It was good, but I was expecting more. Breakfast was amazing, and the steaks looked awesome!

This was my second time here. The first was probably a year ago and I remembered it being better then.
This time, I had herb chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. Despite being covered in herbs, the chicken really had little “flavor”. And it was really covered in herbs. Too much so I scraped a lot of it off.
The gentleman in the booth behind me also commented his chicken, the special, was very bland.
The sides were good, mashed potatoes were real, making them even better.
The service was very good!

Good saloon-style atmosphere, and very kind staff. My wife had the 10oz lobster tail which was pretty good. I had the prime rib. I asked them to cook it medium well which they did. Next time I’ll have them cook it medium for more juicy taste.

I’ve ordered the King Louie’s Breakfast twice. It comes with eggs, sausage, and hash browns along with a biscuit & gravy. Words can’t describe how damn good it is. Great flavor. For sure a good amount of food all for just $24.

Love, love, love it! Great ambiance and food. Very busy so make reservations a few days early if possible. We were there on Thursday night and they had to turn away groups of 5 or more and had an hour wait for others. Our waitress, Ashley, has been there 9 years and was great. I loved it when a family came in and the maitre d asked the parents names, then their young daughter’s name so he could put the reservation in her name. He told her where to take her parents to wait until he called her name and then told her to have her parents follow her to the table. NICE TOUCH – KUDOS
