Visited tonight and ask for ham subs and a pizza. When I got home there was nothing but salami on my sub. I’m allergic to salami. I was VERY specific on ham ONLY. The pepperoni on the pizza for my better half was very slimey. Pepperoni needs to be put on top so it gets crispy not underneath toppings so it ends up greasy and slimey

It had been many years since I had a Louie’s pizza and son-in-law brought a pizza over a couple of months ago. I forgot how good it really is. Now the only place I get pizza. It is all cash or check, unless a certain bank, business. I request to make crust extra crispy. Thin crust is the best! You know it’s 5 STARS when you have to call 4 or 5 times to get through to place your takeout order!

Pizza the way it should be! Louie’s is a dream come true for takeout pizza lovers. Enjoy NY-style thin crust with a crunchy bite and fresh toppings. This was our first time trying their pizza, and it definitely won’t be our last. No wonder they’ve been around since 1960! If you haven’t had a chance to try them yet, you really should. Excellent quality at a great price!

Been on a pizza kick lately so have been traveling around trying different pizza joints. This place is a throwback! What a great old school establishment! Great family, atmosphere and pizza. Got an 11″ inch “All the way” for 12.85 ( uhm yes please all day long)! So glad some friends told me about this place!

Been going here my whole life (40 yrs) my dad used to take me here as a kid and he came here as a kid. Pizza is consistently great and never changes! Thank you Bob for all the years of amazing pies! Brought my kids in today for their first visit and experience and they love it as I knew they would! Please pass this down to your kids when you’re ready to hang it up! It’s SO good we drive 2 hrs to get it!

Three generations of my family and just as many on my wife’s side have been eating pizza here. My Dad went to school with a lot of the folks who run this place and my wife’s grandparents got a massive pizza order every Friday for decades. This pizza is good feelings, great memories, and tradition for me. It’s fantastic pizza as well with a completely unique crust. If you’re looking for one of the absolute best pizza places in Newark, you’ll be hard pressed to find something better than Louie’s. I love this place and hope it never changes.
