What a great dog! The fluffy WonderBread like bun was fantastic, and I loved my Latimer dog (cheese, bacon bits, BBQ sauce). Extra points for sassy teenage counter workers.

Shout out to Louie’s Hot Dogs In downtown Wilmington!!!
We tired the “Yo Adrian” hot dog which is all beef hot dog with pulled pork, bacon and cheese. So many flavors and textures. Only wish is that it was homemade pulled pork. I was surprised that it didn’t sit heavy in my stomach due to the nice light bun.
Second was a smoked sausage with cheese and bacon. Nice smokey flavor on the sausage. Bacon gave that nice contrast in textures.
We have been trying to get into this place for nearly 2 years and they are closed by the time we are off work. Well worth the wait!
I legit called the owner and told her how amazing everything was!

I have been here several times and the hot dogs used to be good, but now they are terrible! The price of a hotdog is $5, I spent $20 on 4 hotdogs which is way too expensive and they weren’t even good. The bread tasted old and the hot dog was almost cold and we ate them right after we got them. I feel like I wasted money coming to eat at this place. I will never visit here again, definitely want my money back. Please save your money and go somewhere else to get hotdogs, not here.

I wouldn’t bother coming here. You can easily make a way better hot dog yourself. I got pulled pork on mine and they just microwaved it and then put it on top of what seems to be a cheap hot dog. You can get a higher quality hot dog just going to the Costco food court.

I don’t know what she does to these hot dogs but I have never had a better one than from here. And I’ve had a lot of hotdogs in a lot of places but nothing cokes close to Louie’s!

From the moment I entered, the lady behind the register told me where the menu was and to ask her if I had any questions. The beef hotdogs I got were very juicy and soft. The chili and slaw were excellent as well. I also found a new type of cheese puffs that are absolutely delicious! I definitely will be returning and it’s a place everyone should at least try. There’s a reason they’ve been in business for so long.

Place is always good. Today I got a hotdog with pimento cheese, baked beans, and onion straws. They said no one had gotten that combo before which made me excited, and yes it was delicious.

A small hole in the wall counter serve hotdog joint serving up comfort food at delicious prices. At first I was a little bit uncomfortable with the use of a microwave to heat up the hot dog but I was surprised that it turned out quite well. The advantage of the microwave is very little wait time but the toppings are the best part for me. The buns are soft and steamed in a typical fashion but the chilli, cheese, bacon, and sauerkraut toppings I got on mine made for an absolutely delicious snack. Friendly customer service along with fantastic pricing makes this place a winner in my book.
