I have to say that I was hesitant to try this place due to some difficult reviews. In retrospect, looking at those reviews makes me think that those people were just having a bad day and not taking much in the way of responsibility for what they’re writing. Overall , I felt the food quality was very good, they use good products and the staff is very friendly. Yes, the prices were a little high however you do have have to put that into perspective. This restaurant is paying rent in Wellan Park. If you choose a restaurant or other service in a community like this, you can expect there will be some higher prices. That said, it wasn’t astronomical. I had a very nice breakfast with excellent coffee and my total bill was $18 plus tip.

Considering the quality of the ingredients and the taste of the food, I think it was a completely reasonable price.

On to the visit:

When I arrived at the restaurant, the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. They have a nice outside seating area. Coffee is from a local roaster and the quality was superb. Connected to the Wi-Fi and did a little work while I waited for my food. The food taste was excellent and the preparation was exactly the way that I asked. This restaurant is a definite repeat for me, will be bringing my family and hopefully will be making it a regular stop.

We four went to Louie’s for lunch expecting the same delicious food and great service that we have received with our breakfast meals. Unfortunately it was not Louie’s best effort. We ordered lunch at 12:30 pm some 90 minutes before closing only to find that the kitchen had run out of 3 out of 4 of our first choice menu items.

Our second choices were prepared well and served both promptly and cheerfully. We had a good meal in pleasant surrounds. Still we felt a bit short changed by the kitchen.

This is a hidden gem smacked in the middle of amazing Wellen Park. It’s small, but so damn chic, kinda like a modern day FRIENDS coffee shop. The menu is simple but after having a taste I would say this was one of the simplest breakfast I’ve had with a depth of organic yet flavorful ingredients. I had the COREY, it’s seasoned potatoes, with a pillowy yet semi crusty croissant packed with scrambled eggs, spinach and mushrooms, it comes with cheese but I asked for it to be omitted. I waited about 10 mins for breakfast because everything is made to order. I paired it with a creamy caramel macchiato foamy hot coffee. I can’t wait to return to try other items in the menu. Breakfast closes off at 11.30 am and then lunch begins!

Every visit feels like coming home—the staff is warm and welcoming, and they truly make you feel like family. The food? Always fresh and delicious, with generous portions that never disappoint. Whether I’m stopping in for a hearty breakfast, a cozy lunch, or just a great cup of coffee, Louie’s never misses a beat.

Had a very good Tuna salad wrap. Good size for the price. Service and decor were excellent. Easy parking located in Wellen Park. Definitely will return.

Gotta try their turkey sandwich. It is great.

Excellent ham, brie and cranberry melt tiday.

Low quality food at upscale prices. $14.50 for a couple poorly cooked eggs, steamed potato cubes, sausage and one slice of stale toast. Potatoes looked they came out of a freezer bag. Likewise the cinnamon roll French toast appeared to be reheated toaster pastry topped with one strawberry sliced, in three and about one inch of runny canned whipped cream. The accompanying syrup was commercial grade maple flavored corn syrup. The other dish was half order of biscuit’s and (barely-there) gravy.

One and done.

Got the breakfast burrito with potatoes. Breakfast burrito was okay about the same thing you’re going to get from Wawa for a sausage egg and cheese. So the $14 price tag is a little high but the big thing it is not posted anywhere and is not listed anywhere the server does not let you know that for fountain drinks they charge you per drink. So I didn’t find out that I spent $7 on two fountain sodas 12 oz glasses until I got my check. I have not been to a restaurant in 30 years that I can remember that they charge you per drink for a fountain drink. Disingenuous buyer beware I will never be back.
