I went to Louie’s in June of 2025, looking forward to some really good ribs. Here I am… 63 years old, having been to Jamaica 25 times and love Red Stripe. Asking the bartender (aka the owner) how long the Red Stripe had been in the fridge (just to know if I should make it a bloody beer) … didn’t mean to question the quality of his beer. He refused me service. Come to find out… over this little fopah, if I ever come into his establishment I will be arrested for criminal trespassing. For questioning the quality for his beer! No worries, my shadow will never be seen here again! This place is not worth the time of day. The food isn’t that great (even though it was given to me for free, out of embarrassment) my final thoughts are … the owner doesn’t want your return patronage and he doesn’t deserve mine.

Was in town for a long weekend with friends and we had dinner here every night. The food and service was amazing. Everyone made us feel so welcome. I have been here twice and have not been disappointed. It’s a fun vibe with stories on the wall, being family owned and operated, you get the feeling of belonging. Now for the food, I love soup, they change weekly, and I have had the Mac and Cheese soup as well as the Lasagna soup, they were both AMAZING. I also went with the chef salad with the parm dressing, complete delight and PLENTY of food in the dish. My hubby had a mushroom and Swiss and he loved it! Highly recommended if you are in the Hayward area.

I’ve known him for years and the family knows how to run a bar. Great atmosphere, great staff, great food. Nothing has changed from his parents old place and I couldn’t be happier about it.
If you are near Hayward you have to stop by and enjoy some delicious food. I had the chicken parm sandwich and couldn’t recommend it enough.

Phenomenal neighborhood bar and grill with a sports bar feel. This smaller gem is off the beaten path of the other Hayward bar and grill establishments. Great selection of beers/drinks and their food is top notch. The place is immaculately clean. Their summer daily specials really hit the spot. On this particular stop, I tried the Lou’s pizza. It was the best pizza in Hayward (in my opinion). They have typical bar gaming devices for entertainment. The bar and kitchen staff are very friendly.

We got 2 sandwiches and split them and the Panini was definitely better than the burger. It was good with the marinara sauce. The chips were just standard ruffles waves chips but you can’t go wrong with that.

Basic bar food. Came quick and tasty. Reasonable prices. I had the Wade, chicken with buffalo sauce, cheese, came with chips. The hamburger must have been good as the guy next to me finished his in under two minutes. Not an unfriendly place but not welcoming. I’ll go back for the food.
