This place was horrible. The ceilings are totally covered in dirt and dust. I spent my whole time there fighting off the flies from my food. It is the only time i have left an expensive restaurant thinking about all of the things i could have spent that money on. This place makes the Outback look like the best steak house around. The only thing i received for swatting flies all dinner was a dessert. It’s pretty bad when you can hear the people around you complaining about the flies too. Then hearing the manager being totally rude to them telling them that they were just trying to get free food.

A year ago, this place rocked. Now, management has made cutbacks and decreased the quality of the food. Prior to, the steak sandwich was something to be desired. Now, you may as well have Steak’Ums at home. Staff is leaving and now they’re closed on Sundays and Mondays… never heard of any place doing that. Someone buy this place out and do it right… there is potential, but if current management stays, it won’t be long that this place is gone. The cutbacks have been extreme to say the least and the inside is falling apart. What a shame.

This used to be a top notch steakhouse. Actually, the only true exceptional steakhouse in Lakeland (Texas Cattle Company’s quality/service has slid and all the others are just restaurant chain quality). My wife and I pulled into the parking lot. The outside looked unkept with weeds in all the flower beds. I made the decision that if the inside was cared for as well as the outsides, then we were definitely not eating there. Based on the other recent reviews, it looks like I was right. Sad to see the downfall of a once great steakhouse.

I went to this steak house because i have herd so much about it. I dont know why anyone would care to pay to eat in such a filthy place. It is dressed up nicely but there was a bug on my leg while i was eating. By the way the bathroom had no toilet paper and my shoes stuck to the floor when i was walking around. The service was slow and i strongly dislike being talked to like i was dumb. Over all i will never go here again. This place is a low budget, over priced, horribly managed want to be steakhouse. Prices are way to high for what you get

Our experience at this restaurant, consisting of a dozen meals over the last four years, has never failed to fulfill our expectations. We honestly don’t understand where some of these other reviews come from. We’ve met the owner, a few times and he is always very congenial. We highly recommend Louie Mack’s, the finest dining spot in Lakeland.

Don’t know how they stay open. Unlike other great steak houses in Lakeland, don’t bring your own cake to celebrate something. Yhey want to charge you a ridiculous plating fee to have it in their restaurant.
