Good local diner vibe. Seat yourself and waitress was over pretty quick. Service was good, was a few minutes wait for food but it was fresh and hot when it came out. Half pound bacon cheeseburger was hanging outside of the bun! I like my crinkle cut fries a little less crispy so will ask for that next time.

Our family has always come to your establishment since I young. When Joey and Susan managed the resturaunt it was always good. As you can read from all the other reviews it has went down. It’s ridiculous to come in and sit sometimes over an hour to wait on food that isn’t cooked right. Fish raw and other times burnt. And to the post where I brought the roach in there to get a free meal really that’s pretty ridiculous. First off no one got a free meal we paid for our meal and secondly I guess the customer that morning brought that roach in to and put in their drink. Please just act like owner and act professional. Since we don’t come there anymore our tummies feel a lot better…. I hope and Pray that you will understand this post and correct it so your reviews will go back up. Have a Blessed day!

Got the western omelette it was nasty all bacon and diced ham. Nothing western about it. The cheese tasted funky in it as well. The staff was nice. They don’t take cards for payment just cash or check. I never have cash on me. I will try lunch or dinner next time.

Stopped by this quaint restaurant since we love off the beaten path restaurants. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent, 2 breakfasts for less than $20.00 + tip, be generous with your tips, they work hard…

Notice how almost all the reviews are “good”? If you’ve eaten here recently, you know it’s more like a 50/50 chance between your food being decent or completely burnt—and in my case, even finding a roach frozen in the ice. Apparently, that wasn’t even the first time it had happened that day.
I wouldn’t normally write a review, but the way the owner, Eric, handled this situation is beyond unprofessional. After posting on Facebook about the roach in my drink, he blew up my phone the next morning. Because I refused to talk to him, he then instructed his staff to call the police if I came back and had me banned from the restaurant. All because I wouldn’t personally speak to him.
On top of that, the food is inconsistent—often burnt, greasy, and leaves you with a stomachache. Save yourself the trouble and skip this place. My family and I will never spend another dollar here.

The coffee is at the door. Pick your favorite cup and sit down, she’ll be with you in a minute.
They know where the menus are and they know if you aren’t from here. But they’ll smile at ya.
You know when the volume is high with the breakfast crowd it’s just plain good. The sausage gravy anf sausage biscuit was my favorite.

I first set foot here back in 1986 as a college freshman, and literally ate here hundreds of times over the 4 years. It’s still the same wonderful warm atmosphere with great affordable food, and though my $2.95 Erskine Special, big hamburger on Texas toast with fries and tea, is slightly more expensive now, it tastes just as good as I remembered. If you’re anywhere near Honea Path this is the place to stop it is a real tradition.

Every time I call in a order my husband gets a chef salad, which is good, I always order chicken livers and ask please fry them lightly, once again I get super hard fried livers, I don’t know if the order taker is relaying the order or the cook just doesn’t care.
