The rating is so high based on my combined experience over the last 2+ years, ordering from this specific location.
I always order a veggie, deep dish personal pizza, and have over the years. Sometimes I’d come everyday, other times, a few days, or 1 day, out the week.
Anyway, I always get my pizza with an extra 5 minutes so my crust won’t be soggy from the vegetables. My pizza has always been “perfect,” even with the extra 5 minutes.
Up until about 2 weeks ago, I’ve been getting over cooked pizza; hard crust, dark cheese, etc. The time before last, the crust was practically a thin crust and not a deep dish; unacceptable.
I called to let the manager know I’m a frequent customer and the last few times, my pizza has been overcooked, when this hasn’t been an issue over the past few years I’ve been coming. She told me the next pizza would be on them / free.
I placed my order about 3 days ago, came in, wasn’t greeted properly. My pizza was slid to me over the counter, instead of handed to me like any professional establishment would / should do.
Also, there was something slimy on the brim of my pizza, and a few “cloth like” pieces throughout my pizza, on the crust part.
Not only is it unfortunate to have such an awful experience, but when I order, I’m either on my lunch break, or getting off work.
I work long hours and don’t want to have to worry about a burnt, lifeless, “tainted” pizza with anything slimy on it. I just want to have a good pizza, enjoy my day, and come back soon.

I tried Lou’s once before in north side chicago and they messed up my food so bad i wrote the whole chain off. Only reason i gave em another shot is cause i got a gift card. This location redeemed it. “THE LOU” is definitely one of the better veggie pizzas ive eaten. Got this sweet and soury ness to the flavor i cant put my finger on but i dont hate it in fact its a nice flavor to go with the veggies. Next time i go there to burn off the rest of the gift card imma have to try adding chicken or italian beef to it, love me a good veggie/spinach pizza but this one needs some sorta meat to make it perfect. Definitly not pepperoni but id still eat THE LOU any day of the week as it is i just wondr what makes it better xD

Just a take out location. Pretty good food. Get the deep dish well done an extra 5 mins to make it tastes better and then crust isn’t soggy.

I had ordered a Large deep dish Chicago classic and it was our first time ever ordering from this pizzeria . When I arrived to the house the pizza was watery and the sausage didn’t look like it was cooked all the way through and was just a big slab of meat . Unfortunately the family was hungry so we had no choice than to eat it . We even tried to put pizza in the microwave to see if the meat would cook a little bit but it did no justice . We are very upset and disappointed by being first time customers and having a very bad experience. If I can give this 0 stars I would .

I love Lou’s, almost too much. I order it way too often. The last couple of times we’ve had it though, it has tasted different. I think they’ve switched sausage vendors and it’s a serious downgrade

We ordered the deep dish pizza for delivery but doordash mishandled it and must have dropped it because the cheese, sauce, and toppings were completely off of the pizza and all the toppings were mixed together when we wanted different ingredients on different halves. We were very disappointed that our pizza was basically ruined, it tasted good but the ingredients were not on the pizza by the time we received it. Also arrived 20 min early which is fine but we wanted it at a certain time for guests that were arriving. Understand that’s hard to be exact and early is definitely better than late.

What I ordered vs what I got :(. I wish I had checked it beforehand. Idk if the pizza was dropped or if it was just too greasy and the ingredients slid off. The cupped pepperonis had grease pooled in the middle of each piece. I’m so disappointed with this.
