Despite that I usually go to the original in lincolnwood I was just too tired to drive that far. I have been to the Oak Park location and it’s decent if not good. One thing I noticed for like the carryout locations for Lou malnati’s the crust of the Chicago classic feels like you’re eating a pretzel with butter. Hopefully Oak Park doesn’t fail to do that despite being a newer location cuz they say it’s the equipment similar to a cast iron frying pan where they say it gets better with age on the equipment they used to making the delicious buttery Pizza. Service was pretty friendly and quick. Ambience in this place is a lot more modern than feeling like a sports bar like at the one in Lincolnwood. Again I did not want to drive there despite that I like eating at the one in lincolnwood since I came from work but it was a tough choice between polish buffet and Lou malnati’s but didn’t want to travel all the way to Lincolnwood. This was closer to home however I did notice a difference for the Chicago classic here. You see when they put the sausage patties it’s a lot bigger in the pizza. Another thing usually but they stop doing that even in the Lincolnwood location is they would put a plate to keep the pizza nice and hot they stop doing .

The spot for Chicago deep dish pizza!
Had two personal sizes split between me and someone else. We had the sausage one and one with tomato slices on top with cheese.
It was happy hour so we took advantage of the $5 drinks!
Everything was very yummy!

Moving my reviews over from Yelp. This review was originally published on 11/7/2019:
A trip to Lou’s is always a treat! I love their pizza so maybe I should state that getting to eat Lou’s pizza is always a treat instead.
I’m sure there are comments I could (and probably should) make about ambiance, service, accuracy of the order…blah, blah, blah. What’s important is the ‘za and basically nothing else.
Lou’s pizza – for me at least – means deep dish with sausage and onions. I like the height of the pie and the crunch of the top part of the crust where no sauce or cheese touched it. I enjoy the stretch of the cheese. I appreciate the slight tang in the sauce and the fennel in the sausage. Seriously, my mouth is watering as I write this and I know that I’m something like 300 miles away from the nearest Lou’s. Dang.

What can I say as a girly that love her Detroit style deep dish pizza but this pizza has blew my mind. Let’s just say foodgasm for both me and my British husband. The cheese was like a loving river of mom’s hugs. The sauce was sweet and tangy all at once. The sausage made it with juicy pops of amazingness. Will definitely be back and whomever served us you rock sir. Wish I could have tipped you more than 20%.

They said it’s the 2nd best Deep Dish Pizza in Chicago. I’d say differently. We’ve been to the place and 2 different locations and oh so damn good!! I took home the frozen deep dish pizza separately after our dinner. It’s gonna come to Canada now.

Always heard about Lou’s. Glad I got to try it. I got a small Chicago style deep dish with chicken sausage and pepperoni. The crust was crispy and buttery. The sauce was robust with some tomato chunks. It was overall delicious. 9/10 would recommend.

The waitress and manager were polite and accommodating. The food was great (especially the spinach topping on our pizza), and the manager noticed our pizza was slightly overcooked, offered us another one on our way out. I will definitely come again and finally try the deep dish!

The food was very good and enjoyable to eat. Our server Andrea was very pleasant and helpful. She was very patience with our large group of fifteen, ensuring that each order was accurate. Even to the point of ensuring that my wife and daughter food was correct due to their food allergies. We all were very pleased with the restaurant, the food and the exceptional service.

Lou Malnati’s never disappoints! The deep dish pizza was absolutely phenomenal—perfectly cheesy with a rich, flavorful sauce and a buttery crust that melts in your mouth. The server Andrea was just as impressive—friendly, attentive, and fast. From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The manager Ronnie came over to our table to make sure everything was perfect. We will definitely be back!
