Great spot for lunch in East Lansing! I have been many times. I was really impressed with the Greek salad, great combination of flavors. The original gyro and seasoned fries were also excellent (you get a lot of fries!). I have also gotten the fire feta pasta during previous visits, delicious! Service is usually pretty good. The inside and outside seating areas are well taken care of. One of my favorite restaurants in the city, definitely recommended!

We dined in today. Our order was taken after we got a chance to look over the menu. Our food was cooked fresh to order and it was DELICIOUS! we ordered the #4 Lous Bacon Deluxe and a Falafel Platter. Huge portions of mouth watering food!!!! Fountain soda available with free refills. Plenty of seating available, both booths and tables. High chairs for kiddos if needed. TVs mounted in walls to watch and background music playing. Friendly atmosphere. Establishment is very clean and tidy.

I was looking for a good gyro in the Lansing area and was advised to try Lou and Harry’s. Overall it was good, solid experience! I was promptly greeted by an employee who took my order. I had a few questions and she was happy to answer them. I noticed that the restaurant was nice and clean. It took a bit longer than I expected to get my order given the format of ordering at the counter but I had my order in about 15-20 minutes. The gyro seemed to be about what I expected, it was a good, solid, filling gyro. If you love fries, they definitely do not skimp! You get a very substantial amount. The fries have a really good seasoning on them as well. While nothing blew me away, it was satisfying. The gyro combo deal on Mondays and Wednesdays is a decent value. I did notice a sign claiming that all burgers are cooked medium well with no exceptions, so that turns me off to wanting to try a burger.

Recent lunch was ok, but could have been better. Gyro was good overall, but was dominated by the red onions on it, vidalias would be a better choice.
Spinach pie had a decent amount of greens and feta but was just dripping on the bottom with grease/oil which was not appealing.
Service was ok. The other Greek options looked good, I would try again and check out something else on the menu.

Lou and Harry’s has the best Greek food in town! There are lots of different food options including several vegetarian dishes. The spinach pie is my personal favorite, and their hummus is great too. Portion sizes are generous and fairly priced. The dining area has a pleasant atmosphere, staff is friendly and management does an excellent job. Highly recommended.

I would completely give this place at least 4 stars. The food and prices are excellent. They also serve a killer gyros, so its a great alternative to other carry out restaurants in the vicinity.
My only gripe – I showed up 15 minutes before closing to get a take out order and the guy behind the counter spent at least 7 minutes trying to convince me not to order something. You’re open til 9 pm which means you take orders til then. Deal with it.

Very good food in Lansing!
Authentic business (its amazing to find a legit, non-franchise place!) it is worth every penny. Affordable prices and amazing Greek food as well as burgers!
Give it a try while in Lansing!

They have pretty good prices, the food is prepared right when you order, so it takes a little long, but not a horrible amount of time. The line at lunch is usually pretty intense, but they get through it pretty quickly. I always leave filled up and happy! I would recommend the chili dog combo, pretty cheap and super tasty.
