I understand where the people say it’s a good place for the prices! The box deal phss can’t beat that and for the variety of food. The deal box is on special time and a few options with a soup, a egg roll or crab Rangoon with a beverage for less than 8$ a combo special. There is two variety of soup the egg drop soup and another one which I did not get the name. The menu is clear spicy and non spicy chicken and meat choices. Non of this food felt fresh to me it felt like a beginner cooker some one that gets can food or frozen choices and dump it with sauce and a little condiments here and there. The egg drop soup tastes and looked like to me like a chicken noodle soup Campbell with egg in it. The combos felt the same swimming in its sauce then actual suppose to be. The rice yes did felt fresh but perhaps the only thing. The service was gentle and helpful but the food I mean…… price great helpful. And yes I know there aren’t many choices of food in Joplin but can do better.

This is my favorite place for Chinese in Joplin! But this was my first time eating inside and getting the lunch box for $6 and I will probably never get it again. I feel I got ripped off. I got a lemon chicken and a general chicken and I was with a couple other people and they got the same thing and yet their plates had probably twice as much more than what mine did! The food was amazing like always but the portion was horrible this time !

The number one says it comes with an egg roll or two Rangoon. I ordered a large plus a side of Rangoon with fried rice. I only received the side of Rangoon I paid for, no extra or egg roll. The Rangoon are not terrible but the cashew chicken is. The sauce is not the typical dark cashew sauce, it is light and very watery. One bite was enough for me to throw away the rest. Won’t be back here.

Kid at the window was rude, we ordered alot of food. Then, I get home and my large Mongolia Beef is almost literally all onion, I can count the beef in it as i stir it. Crab ragoons are fire tho.

Would be really appreciated if you could make sure your containers are closed before putting them in the To-go bag.. the crab Rangoon dipping sauce dumped out in the bag, and so I took my food out and set it on my seat. I got home only to realize the lo mein container was not closed, and now I have the sauce all over my passenger seat.. PLEASE TAKE AN EXTRA SECOND TO SECURE THE LIDS

Lotus Express is the best Asian food in the city, hands down! They serve you very generous portions (very) and at a reasonable price. Their service is always prompt and courteous and the food is always hot & delicious. Best crab Rangoon’s also … Oh and their steamed rice is cooked to perfection!

This is your run-of-the-mill chinese restaurant. I really like it, though, because it’s super close to my house. Yeah, the food isn’t going to blow your mind, but it’s consistently good and the prices are reasonable. I will definitely continue eating at this place. If you are looking for a unique dining experience, this isn’t what you want. But if you want to stay at home and watch netflix on the couch while eating some take-out, this is your place.

Great food authentic American style Chinese. Excellent prices and a wide selection. Superb Cooks and very helpful and curteous staff. This place stays busy, they have dine in, take out and drive thru as well. Clean restrooms. Dining area is simple but clean and cozy.
