I ordered crab cheese rangoons & beef bul ko ki. Their bul ko ki had been recommended to me after enjoying some elsewhere, and the Lotus Room’s was so much more flavorful. The woman I spoke to over the phone & in person was very kind & talked with me about how the dish is prepared. My only complaint is that I would have loved for there to be a bit more cream cheese filling in the rangoons.

Must be new owners .. just picked up our food so nasty . “ fried” rice isn’t even fried . It’s white rice with veggies in it . Sweet and sour all veggies no chicken . General chicken is frozen chicken with a little sauce . Never again

Wow, this wasn’t authentic Chinese food! The chicken and best seller beef was very dry and the white rice was startchy! They put dry rice noodles under the dry meat. I was told everything made fresh. Because I was hungry, ate half and through the rest in the garbage. After 15 minutes I had to go to store and buy a Vernors, bad stomach ache!

We were regulars at Empress of China for years. My whole extended family was. The Lotus room is the owners son and has a lot of the same menu with some added greatness! The Mongolian beef and Mongolian chicken is to die for!! It’s made different from any Mongolian beef/chicken I’ve ever had. The lettuce wraps are also amazing and they have the best egg rolls and crab Rangoons around! I also love the sizzling rice soup and won ton soup! I miss the meat sticks terribly please bring those back! I am so happy to find The Lotus room and their amazing food and traditional Chinese recipes. The chef is amazing and the woman at the front desk is super friendly! I’d love them to open back dine in and not just take out. But I’ll take anything I can get. It’s my favorite food of all time!

Tried for the first time 1/9/26 ordered Mongolian Chicken with a spring roll for $16. Fried rice wasn’t even included. I really thought it was going to be a bigger portion for the price. It was in a tiny little container. Also the spring roll was extremely salty. Next time I will go elsewhere it wasn’t worth the $.

My absolute favorite Chinese Restaurant. Everything is fresh, the place is super clean! I’ve been in the kitchen and it’s the cleanest restaurant kitchen I think I’ve ever seen. Top notch service as well

Absolutely dreadful! The schzuan chicken was the tiny tiny deep fried pieces. The sweet and sour wasn’t much better. Soggy! We thought was a notch above. The order taker argued with us about swapping fried rice with white rice. I can see an update charge but $8.95. Spent $60 on complete uncooked garbage.

Oo I was waiting to review this place, I just loved this place, it was my first time today, but definitely not the last time. The food was delicious, hygienic, place was clean and most importantly the staff was amazingly polite and helpful! Personally couldn’t ask anything! Been here for years, how did I miss this place? Well I think I have my regular Chinese food place! Highly recommend ! Thank you for dinner!
PS: I’d love to have a pound-ful of the fried cheese cake and red velvet desert selection . Enjoy your meal!!
