Providence RI’s Banh Mi shop. Lotus Pepper makes authentic Vietnamese banh mi on the East Side of Providence at 752 Hope Street, We started making banh mi in 2013 with a food truck on Brown Campus and at the farmers market at Lippitt Park on Blackstone Boulevard. In 2023 we decided to open our restaurant on Hope Street so that we could serve delicious Vietnamese food all year long. We offer Vietnamese Noodle and Salad Bowls and Vietnamese appetizers. Bowls can be rice based, noodle based or salad based. We offer beef, pork, chicken, fish, egg and tofu as protein options. They are only a four minute walk away from where I live – very dangerous. The yellow bowl with lemongrass chicken was incredible! $15
They were very generous with the chicken, which I really appreciate. Each piece was blackened so it had more flavor but at the same time was perfectly juicy. I like how there was a little fat on each piece as well, similar to what you see with pork or steak.
The noodles were so soft and the flavor throughout the bowl was very pleasant.
I placed the order online and it was right on time. The staff was friendly when I picked it up.
It’s mostly takeout here, but they have a few stools on a table in front of the window. Staff was friendly.

Easy quick no frill Vietnamese bowls. The meat was tender and juicy. It was really tasty and location is clean. Really good for quick lunch.

I’ve been meaning to come here for months and it was so delicious. So fresh as well, I would love to come back as soon as I can. I came with my dad and it was his first banh mi sandwhich and now he’s obsessed too! I can’t wait to try their other meal options. Wonderful new Vietnamese spot on Hope Street! We stopped in on a Friday afternoon and tried the Shrimp Spring Rolls and the Vermicelli bowl with lemongrass chicken. The food was fantastic, light and super flavorful. The ambiance is awesome with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Pro tip- try the hot sauce next to the water dispenser!

Fantastic! I ordered a banh mi, spring rolls and flan for delivery. Great fresh bread on the banh mi and really enjoyed the pate in it. The spring rolls were some of the best I’ve had with a very flavorful dipping sauce. And the flan was so good. I had been looking for one like that, thats on the bitter side and not so sweet. Will be ordering again!

Great food, such a cute atmosphere, we loved every part of Lotus Pepper! We tried the noodles and sandwich and two of the teas and everything was excellent and not overpriced! Plus staff were super friendly and helpful with recommendations! New favorite stop on Hope st!

I was craving banh mi and was referred to Lotus by my daughter. We ordered pork bahn mi, lemon grass chicken rice bowl, Vietnamese iced coffee and eggrolls. Everything was good. My husband loved the coffee. The bahn mi was good. I was looking forward to the traditional pork cold cut bahn mi but they don’t offer that here. Very cute place, great service. We will definitely be back.
