This is a longstanding, classic, Midwest Chinese restaurant. The prices are hard to beat and the food has been consistent + tasty for the last 15+ years. Best food: fried chicken with the sweet+sour or cashew sauce, lo mein, crab rangoon (ask for duck sauce), and the egg rolls/foo young. The folks that run this place are hard workers and do everything they can to provide for their people & the experience. This is a one-of-a-kind small town restaurant that I’ve recommended to everyone since the early days. Come in with an open mind & get a fill of some affordable good eats.

The food is good. I am not sure what place some of the people have been showing up to but its not the same place I go. Typically I am there sun-wed sometime. Our typical waitress recognizes us immediately and ask about our lives and is very friendly. The food is good General Tso’s Chicken is as good as it gets and the Crab Rangoon taste amazing. I think its rather pathetic people are judging those that are there to eat and even holding it against the restaurant because they feel better than others.

The food was cold at first. Best thing I had was the chicken skewer and the first time I went up there they were cold. The broccoli beef is disgusting. The egg rolls are chewy. The crab Rangoon was alright but there was no crab or green onion in them. The fried rice wasn’t fried rice. It just had chicken bouillon in it. No sesame oil, egg, carrots, peas, or soy sauce. And definitely no frying. Getting the plain chicken and a sauce was your best bet. The cashew was alright. The general chicken was soggy and the sauce was no flavor with mild heat. I was resllt disappointed in the broccoli beef the most. As I said earlier it was disgusting. The broccoli wasn’t cooked enough and the beef was stringy soft and chewy. But most of all it tasted nothing like beef.

I went and did a call in order, I ordered 2 cashew chickens with the cashew sauce. And 1 general those chicken. First off the sauce was spilled in my sack it was stapled where I couldn’t look till I got home. The general two was hard and hardly no sauce. And when I was waiting, a guy with a pony tail and a beard, the hair fell into the food on the buffet, that I’d reason why one of the reasons why I do normally call in orders.lotus garden used to be really good. Not anymore I will order from here.
