Will not eat here again. First off zoo is packed and they have the second floor closed for an event that is visibly using like 2 tables. You can see 10+ employees but no one is cleaning tables, place is filthy. Employees just watch as customers wipe their table down. I had a bowl that had tiny portions of each ingredient, cost $20+ dollars. Every one of our plates cost over 20 bucks plus drinks. My son got a souvenir cup and guess what, we still had to pay for refills. Basically just gouging a hole in your wallet. Recommend eating somewhere else. Employees are rude.

I’ll give it a two for atmosphere. This place is an obvious cash grab. High dollar low quality food. $5 drinks, and you must pay per refill.

No lids or straws available to “ help the environment from plastics”, however we were sold a plastic kids up for an up charge, and bottled plastic drinks are available…..

Food was terrible. I expected pricey options because of the location, but that was assuming at least moderately delicious food. I didn’t know a rice bowl could be terrible, but it was, with straight out of the jar kimchi, and fried chicken tenders for “protein options”

Do your self a favor and pack a bologna sandwich.

Overpriced and seems like the employees hate their job. I get working at a busy place isn’t fun, but come on. Best place about this place is the A/C.

My kids and come here every weekend. Last Sunday was the worst experience ever. Wait in line for 40 min pay then to be handed a buzzer to vibrate when your order is ready. Over an hour later of waiting a lady went up to find out what was going on. There system has been down which meant the buzzers didn’t work. we were waiting for nothing. They then called security on her for telling everyone what was going on. Refused to refund us then had to wait in another line for another 40 behind people that had just ordered to get our food and it was not edible. Again refused a refund. We threw out our food and left. Horrible experience.

Pretty upset after our visit today. I didn’t receive my icee with my order and I politely let the ladies at the counter know. They were extremely rude about it! It wasn’t even a big deal. Two walked away from me and one toward the ice machine. No words were said. Then it was handed to me without her even looking at me and sarcastically said have a nice day. There was no reason for that! I’m in the service industry so I’m real mindful of how I speak to people, so it definitely wasn’t a “me” thing. Pretty ridiculous especially for what we paid for everything.

We had a group of 8 folks all ready to pass out by the time we saw this place. Good location geo break as it’s almost half way mark. General Tso’s chicken was terrible – tasted nothing like it and ended up trashing this and eating the kids French fries. Chicken tender was hard and dry and the baby barely took a bite. The burgers were decent and so was the pizza. But the portion size was very small for the price. In terms of aesthetic, seating and cleanliness – it was good.

Worth the trek to the other side of the zoo for lunch. Great A/C and great food too. All 3 of us boys had the Rex’s cheeseburger combos and my wife had the Asian chopped salad with chicken. Burgers were delicious and the fries were very tasty and cooked to perfection, crisp outside and tender inside. Fairly fast and friendly service. Would recommend this for a delicious meal while at the zoo.

We come to the zoo almost weekly since we are members and this is one of the worst food places EVER. First off, it takes the cashier about 10 mins per guest just to take a order ! They’re not even making the food. You will wait 40 mins in line for soda and dry chicken. Bring your own food and drinks

The food at the Lotus cafe is so sad and completely inedible. Such a waste of a great space. This is a missed opportunity to have a really great food experience in a fun atmosphere. We just spent $50 on food for 3 people and one of those meals was a kids meal with a corn dog and fries. Everything tastes like a low quality frozen box meal and we threw away 75% of it. We come to the zoo often but don’t eat here much. We have eaten at other locations within the zoo and it was much better. What you would expect of burgers and fries, etc. I don’t expect it to be 5 star but when the majority of the food goes in the garbage, that’s pretty bad. I know this could be so much better for the price.

After 20 min chicken tenders and onion rings still weren’t ready. I asked and they said they paged me but the buzzer never went off. I took burnt tenders and fries and never got my drink. This cost me $20. The staff was at least very polite about it.
