The food was realllly good, but before when they are offering their special of the day. My friend said, “okay” after he said they had the founder and the waiter took it as a “yes” and after about 10 min after we got what we ordered we got a whole fish delivered to our table. We explained we hadn’t ordered it but it was a misunderstanding. We ended up keeping it and honestly it was really good (just doubled our meal in price unexpectedly)

I ordered a delivery. I noticed that the amount of payment on the receipt was different from what I paid online. He said that because he was not satisfied with the amount of tip I paid, he changed it. He went further to demand me more tip. What kind of restaurant service does that? I told him that it’s illegal to just change amount of credit card charge without customer’s approval. I’ve never had this kind of experience. Very bad customer service. Will never order from this place again.

The front desk is so rude and she looks like she just rolled out from her bed and went to work. She doesn’t greet customers when they come in the restaurant. She doesn’t look at you when talking but looking at her phone and scrolling the social pages. I don’t know why she is hired?

First of all and most important, the food is wonderful. Always fresh tasting and delicious. We introduced our friends from Franklin Lakes to the Lotus Cafe and they come down to Hackensack to enjoy very good Chinese cuisine. From the wait staff to the Front Desk to the Manager, the personnel is terrific. We have been coming to the Lotus for years and we’re so happy that they were able to survive the pandemic and continue to offer their superb menu of delicious appetizers, soups and entrees.

This Chinese restaurant was weird the least to say the food here was oily I mean you can see the oil mixed in the gravy way too much . The chicken wings were the frozen type you can literally taste the difference and they were no seasoned . After we ate here we tipped the waitress just because he serviced us not because we enjoyed the food and the waitress come back to us and say are you going to tip a higher percentage ! We literally wanted to tell the waitress how horrible the food was but we just said no and will not want to eat there again ! Yuck ! The oily taste was still in our mouth after eating this “Chinese food”
