The only downside is the pricing. The bibimbap burger was almost $10 just for the burger, which felt a bit high — and the flavor reminded me a bit of Shin Ramen, which I didn’t expect. Still good, just different.
Overall, I’m really glad I got to enjoy Lotteria here in the U.S. without having to fly to Korea. Definitely worth checking out if you miss Korean-style fast food!
The Bibim Rice Burger had rice disks as patties (I know rice disks sounds odd, but there’s no other way to describe them, lol), and as I was eating it, it definitely reminded me of eating an actual Bibimbap (Korean mixed rice with assorted veggies and meat).
The Bulgogi Deluxe Burger is also fantastic. The Bulgogi seasoning is instantly recognizable and is great.
I did not try the fries or the sodas, only two excellent burgers and left full and happy.
You order on some tablets and they call you out when the food is ready, so interacting with staff is minimal at best.
The whole place is clean and even the bathrooms are spotless, so points for ambiance too.
I tried the bulgogi burger and cheese fries combo: the fries comes with a cheese powder to add, not really that good, just cheese dust tasting fried, fries are generic taste nothing special, the burger was okay,it tasted like bulgogi, but I rather go to korean bbq lol, (patty pretty small idk if it’s like that in korea), bun was bigger than patty, if you would like a burger to taste like korean bbq especially bulgogi then it’s a place for you, it was nice to try fun new, but I will not consider going back
Maybe to try shrimp burger but then again I don’t like shrimp unless it’s sushi. 🙂
P.s also no spicy sauces or any type of condiments besides ketchup so ya’ll could of done something there idk.
Location:
Located on South Harbor Blvd & Orangethorpe Ave in Fullerton, inside a strip plaza shared with Target and several other stores. Parking is super convenient — a large shared lot with plenty of spaces. Across the street, there’s an IHOP. The restaurant also features a drive-thru and an outdoor patio area next to it for casual dining.
⸻
Visit Time:
I came on a Monday around 1 PM — no drive-thru line, no wait inside. There were a few dine-in customers but it wasn’t packed. People were constantly coming in and out.
⸻
Service:
Staff and servers were attentive, friendly, and helpful. I asked a few questions about the menu, and they happily gave me clear recommendations. Service was fast and efficient — my food came out in about five minutes.
⸻
Food Ordered:
• KBBQ Fries
• Shrimp Burger
• Bibim Rice Burger
Everything came out piping hot and full of flavor. The food was well-seasoned, and the portions were satisfying.
⚠️ Note: The Bibim Rice Burger can get a little messy since the rice tends to loosen up easily, but it’s still worth a try!
⸻
Price & Value:
Yes — prices are a bit on the higher side for a fast-food restaurant. But honestly, I don’t mind paying more because the menu is unique and the flavors really stand out compared to your typical cheeseburger or fish filet.
⸻
Overall Experience:
After seeing all those negative reviews, I was hesitant — but I’m glad I gave this place a chance! Both food and service were great, and my experience was completely different from what some of the bad reviews described.
Even though I’m not Korean and don’t usually eat a lot of Korean food, this spot gave me a pleasant, flavorful fast-food experience that’s worth coming back for.
I ordered Lotteria’s most popular burger, the Bulgogi & Shrimp Burger, as a to-go order and ate it at home. Maybe it was because it had been so long since ld had it, but it was delicious.
However, I think Lotteria burgers might be popular with Koreans because they evoke memories of their past in Korea, but I felt like the taste of Lotteria burgers might not appeal to Americans, who are accustomed to American-style greasy burgers like Five Guys.
Anyway, I’m glad Lotteria burgers are now available in the US, and I hope they continue to prosper.
I went on a weekend afternoon and there was no wait. I wanted to try the Bibim Rice Burger, but it was already sold out (apparently it’s in high demand).
Shrimp Burger: Just like back in Korea — the patty was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. If I lived nearby, I’d definitely come often.
Bulgogi Burger: The bulgogi flavor was well captured; it reminded me of the Korean-style burgers I used to eat.
Cup Bingsu: A simple, classic version. They put in a generous amount of red bean, so it felt a bit overly sweet at times.
The store was adorable with cute character decorations, though the indoor space was a bit limited. I’m proud that Lotteria boldly launched in America — a Korean burger chain taking on the U.S. scene!
