This weekend we took a downtown Boone, NC food tour with Blue Ridge Food Tours. Lost Province was one of the stops on the tour and it was AMAZING!!! As part of the tour, we were seated and served immediately. I was so impressed on the timing and perfection of the service because Boone was super busy on the holiday weekend… I thought there might be a wait, but the staff had everything organized perfectly. We were served a wood-fired pepperoni pizza and a beer sampling as part of the tour. The pizza was incredibly delicious. The crust had that perfect chew, while also being crisp and puffed to perfection. Each little pepperoni had the crisp cupping effect that comes from people who know what they’re doing in the kitchen… and is even more impressive when you consider they’re cooking with wood fire. The beer was also the perfect compliment. Our tour guide told us that this region of Appalachia used to be called the “Lost Province” since the geography made it so difficult to find. She said that locals often used to joke that the only way to find the Lost Province region was to be born there. We thought that was a really cute detail that added to the experience, and we were glad that we found the Lost Province in more ways than one. While this was our first visit to the restaurant, we will absolutely be back! Thank you for such a great experience.

Nate was Great! Yes, I said it. My children wanted me to share their cheezy rhyme. Nate was very tentative, kind, patient, funny, knowledgeable and overall a great server!
Even after one of my boys, who likes talking with his hands like his Daddy, smacked the ketchup out of Nates hand and splattered it on him and the floor. Something is always happening with our big family of young ones. We had a blast! Food was amazing! Everything was except one thing…The jalapeno poppers. Lacking in flavor, jalapeno flavor, heat and salt. That was the only thing that stunk. From pizzas, to that incredible pork sandwich, burger, grilled cheese, fish and chips, and the pickle veggie platter. Phew. Amazing food. Truly. Quality and care given to their recipes. I am a very good cook and baker. You can trust this Mama. I throw down several times a day.
If there was a Lost Province where we live at, we probably be there once every pay period.
Great family place! Lots of seating. Try out a local joint and support small business. (This is coming from a knowledgeable tourist.)

Fantastic watering hole in the middle of Appalachia College area. Great selection of IPAs and specialty beers as well as an extraordinary assortment pizzas. The number one place to stop while visiting the area. Carly, our server was kind, friendly and informative.
I ordered the beer flight, including Dave’s not here, Julie Winfield, Magnum Opus, and Tigma ! My favorite was the Julie Winfield that paired well with my Sweet Beet Pizza!

My friends and I stopped by Lost Province during our ski trip, and it was the perfect downtown Boone spot. Great beer, excellent food (don’t miss the wood-fired pizza fresh from the oven!), and an atmosphere that hits just right after a day on the mountain. The service was top-notch.
Katelyn was a fantastic server, and make sure you ask Casey to tell his Irishman joke.
Thank you, Lost Province — unanimous winner of “Best Brewery We Can Walk to from Our Hotel.”

Really great server. Very personable, Sequoia. Food was good as always. Tried the gorganzolla bacon apple hot honey flat bread, maybe they would make that a regular thing. Maybe add some chicken and arugula.

We enjoyed local draft beers (samples were offered and brought out before making our selection) We ordered pizza and salad and it was all very fresh and delicious! Our server was so nice and attentive! This wasn’t our first time dining here but today definitely stood out to us as an exceptional choice for our lunch choice as there are many great dining options in downtown Boone!
