Great place between Austin and Houston. Excellent brisket, great ribs, and great potato salad. Also would recommend the buttermilk pie. Didn’t like the coleslaw, but that’s not really the highlight anyway.

About 5pm, I ordered the brisket sandwich to-go cause I was in a hurry. Since there weren’t many customers, service was fast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Considering I didn’t have opportunity to try other sides, I also ordered chips. I’ll consider this visit average. Brisket was a bit dry, but was decently flavored. The brownie was good too. I’d come back for a quick affordable meal.

It was some of the best food that I’ve had. The lemonade was perfect as well. They have a good variety of drinks, snacks, and sweets. The staff was really friendly and I’d definitely reccomend this place to anyone looking for quality Texan food at a really fair price.

Must try. Juicy, smokey meat. I just ate one of the best brisket sandwiches of my life. The meat was tender and well marbled. The sauce, pickles, and onions that I ordered on the side were a nice touch, but the sandwich really didn’t need it. So good. The people were friendly. There was a local in there with his own take out containers ordering a week’s supply of meat. Nothing but good things to say about my experience at Lost Pines

Delicious food and friendly service. The meat plate has been demolished already but look at that beautiful baked potatoe! Yum!

Prices very fair and barbeque was delicious! Very clean restaurant including restrooms. Portion sizes good. Free refills on fountain drinks. The owners daughter was super friendly. The homemade pies were amazing as well. Couldn’t decide on Pecan or Buttermilk so tried both. You can’t lose.

Great food and very friendly service. Loved the brisket sandwich. Sausage and ribs plate was also nice. Sausage isn’t spicy but nicely flavored. Loaded baked potato hit the spot too. Folks behind the counter were so gracious and friendly – with kids and the usual confusion that comes with ordering with them, any place that takes it in stride is always a must-go in my books.

The potato was great I added sausage along with the beef. Made it even better. The price was a bit high though

We drove through the town of Giddings on the way to Austin and stopped at Lost Pines BBQ. There were 3 employees working the counter and none of them were friendly or informative with the questions we had about their menu. I purchased the 1/2 pound of ribs for my daughter and what we got was pure fat and hardly no meat. My daughter couldn’t even eat it. WE will never be eating there again. Save yourself a trip and go somewhere else. Very disappointed!!
