Arrived for lunch at 11;30. I had my order taken and ready to eat in less than 5 minutes. Employees were friendly and courteous. Inside the dining room was clean and comfortable. Country music playing at an appropriate volume. Styrofoam plates and drink cups, plastic utensils and paper napkins.
I ordered a half pound of brisket and a half pound of beef ribs. Portion size was very good. I was full before I finished my plate. Meat was tender and the bar b q sauce was also very good. My total with a large drink was just north of $30.

Stop here if you’re driving Houston to Austin! I love these small local restaurants when we find a good one. As soon as we walked in, I said “it smells good” – the smell of good BBQ that will likely taste good. The customer at the counter said “it IS good”. I popped into restroom (clean!) while husband ordered, and when I came back out and saw the size of the rib on his plate I said WOW. I have never seen a beef rib that large at any BBQ spot we’ve been to. Ridiculously large. Get an arm workout while you eat. Husband ended up taking half of it to go it was so large. He also said it was delicious (I will take his word since I can no longer eat meat), cooked well, tender, tasty. I had a few of their sides – baked potato, green beans, cole slaw – and those were great as well. Fresh food. Staff was super nice and friendly. Service was fast. Restaurant was clean. I did giggle when I handed my husband the plastic fork I grabbed and saw it compared to the size of the rib on his plate, I just looked at him and told him best to use his hands. Next time we make the drive, we definitely plan to stop again. Don’t bother with stopping at Buccees for a chopped beef sandwich … drive a bit further down the road for this instead.

About 5pm, I ordered the brisket sandwich to-go cause I was in a hurry. Since there weren’t many customers, service was fast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Considering I didn’t have opportunity to try other sides, I also ordered chips. I’ll consider this visit average. Brisket was a bit dry, but was decently flavored. The brownie was good too. I’d come back for a quick affordable meal.

Best beef rib I’ve had in years!!! I’ve paid $105 for a beef rib at a restaurant at home in Houston only to end up feeding it to the dog it was doo awful. Y’all are way undercharging for these damn good ribs! I have the green beans and the coleslaw which is not a mayonnaise base so it means I can eat it with my rib and it was all really good. Highly enjoyed it and recommend

Prices very fair and barbeque was delicious! Very clean restaurant including restrooms. Portion sizes good. Free refills on fountain drinks. The owners daughter was super friendly. The homemade pies were amazing as well. Couldn’t decide on Pecan or Buttermilk so tried both. You can’t lose.

Food: Perfect pit stop between Austin and Houston! Turkey sandwich was fantastic, with just the right amount of rich sauce, fresh pickles and onions. Turkey was moist, smoky perfection. Brisket sandwich was excellent as well, generous slices of tender beef, smoked expertly. Would definitely recommend.
Price: Very reasonable $15.00 for two sandwiches and drinks

Best BBQ we’ve ever had! We picked up chicken, turkey, sausage, and chopped beef for our daughter’s graduation party and it was a hit! The turkey is our favorite and we visit often!

The bake potato was hot and delicious and just the right size to hit the spot. It is made all the way with chopped beef. Bathrooms are clean and hand sanitizer available at the counter. Old country tunes in the radio.

Great food and very friendly service. Loved the brisket sandwich. Sausage and ribs plate was also nice. Sausage isn’t spicy but nicely flavored. Loaded baked potato hit the spot too. Folks behind the counter were so gracious and friendly – with kids and the usual confusion that comes with ordering with them, any place that takes it in stride is always a must-go in my books.
