Great price for iced coffee. Great experience showing up to this shack. The owner is one cool cat. He has some great tunes playing inside too. Hang around for a little while and you might find some new songs to add to your playlist. I wish it was bigger in here so there was a lounge section. I’d love to chill for a bit.

I’ve been coming to Lost Dog for just over two years now and Garth has continued to deliver the finest drinks around. Garth’s drinks bring out the utmost amount of flavor in the coffee & in the flavors he uses to make his drinks. What separates Lost Dog from most of the other coffee shops is that Garth is always looking to improve his drinks by tinkering with different ingredients (a lot of natural flavoring) that most coffee shops don’t dare to do. Most coffee shops spend more time coming up with fancy names for new drinks to lure customers in, while Garth puts in the work to perfect his craft. The quality of the drinks are unmatched in my opinion.I would encourage both locals and visitors alike to support Lost Dog. You will not be disappointed in the drinks that you get.

What a lovely place! Got a red oolong and was thoroughly impressed. They definitely know how to brew a good cup of tea here. Very smooth, not at all astringent, naturally sweet and fragrant, no sugar needed! (Just the way I like it) Took it down to ths riverfront park and had a very relaxing start to my day. Cheers to the owner for helping me pick a tea and chatting with me while it brewed! Will definitely grab some bulk tea and beans before I leave town, though I doubt I would do as good a job brewing at home! They have the biggest pu erh selection I’ve ever seen in person, so if that’s your thing you should swing by. I’m from Baltimore and am already looking forward to my next trip out to the area to try something new off the menu and then hit the trails 🙂

Super cool little coffee shop. They have great ambiance, and you can get your drink in a actual porcelain cup.

What a gem!! There’s an indoor shop and a walk up option to get your drinks. There were soooo many tea and coffee options. I got the iced mocha and it might be the best I’ve ever had! I’m very hard to impress and this is the real deal! I will def be back!!

We’ve wanted to try out Lost Dog for quite some time and finally had the opportunity today. I ordered the ginger molasses latte and my husband ordered the cinnamon honey latte. Lost Dog’s coffee is full and rich with multi-leveled flavors. The ginger and molasses flavors in my latte were like biting into a fresh ginger cookie with a pop of caffeine. ❤️ My husband also loved his latte and stated the cinnamon and honey flavors were perfectly balanced. These are not the burnt beaned, super sweet, insanely caloried lattes that Starbucks and Dunkin serve. The people who left negative reviews are most likely NOT coffee connoisseurs but partake in a cup of sugar when they buy “coffee”. If you like sweet so be it! Garth and company will craft your cup exactly as you want. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back again. Thank you for being so sweet to our bad attitude Goldendoodle! He doesn’t typically take treats from strangers, but he must have liked you. Happy Father’s day!

Excellent espresso and great service. The best part was that they refuse to serve espresso to go! I ordered my espresso and needed a cappuccino to go and the gentlemen behind the magic held off on the cappuccino until I had finished the espresso. Espresso served with a glass of sparkling water. Thick, creamy, dark, and absolutely delicious. Limited seating, but obviously a popular spot for the locals. They also have a great selection of teas to purchase leaves or to drink.

As with most creative genius you’ll get quality & expertise with a bit of quirk. This place knows what the hell they are doing and it’s for those you appreciate that. There is no better cup of caffeine than from here in the area. True master of the coffee arts can be found here.

I drove out to shepherds town, wv to visiting Shepherd university and found this wonderful tea shop “Lost Dog coffee and tea house” with so much more.
I ordered a lavender London fog from a young man Zane, he was friendly and knowledgeable about teas. A pleasure to speak with. The tea was so delicious.
Lost dog coffee and tea house is A true Treasure and well worth the visit. You can walk up to the window outside and order or go in and sit and enjoy the music.

I visited this place on a trip back in March and ordered their apple cider and man!! I knew when I was drinking it that it was a damn good cup of apple cider. What I didn’t know is that I’d be sitting here, 7 months later, in the prime of fall, chasing the high that cup of cider gave me. It’s one of those “you don’t know what you have until it’s gone” moments for me. I am leaving this review to urge anyone planning a visit to not only try their apple cider, but to savor it while you can. For me. I am hours away thinking about where in my schedule I can fit a trip to Shepherdstown just so I can experience this beverage in the season it was meant for. I fear it has ruined all other apple ciders for me and I hope to God one day I will be blessed with an experience like the one provided to me back on that brisk March day. Thank you for the experience Lost Dog. I hold it closely.
