I wish they did not use lard in their cooking because this place is so high quality Mexican food I wanna try lots more dishes! The mole sauce is EXTREMELY SPICY! Every bite I needed a drink! But it’s soooo delicious! I couldn’t finish my meal because there was so much food with the wet burrito (yes, I asked for mole on it and it was worth it, 1,000%). And the server was right, 3 tacos per person is just right. Service was dang good, felt genuine. Clean joint.

Absolutely love this little gem. The food is delicious and the service is always on point. The pricing is great for how much they serve you. I particularly love their carnitas plate. They have great flavor and comes with a generous portion. They also offer corn or flour tortillas and the corn are house made and delicious! Definitely family friendly and cozy.

I ordered the three item combo with two chili rellenos and one beef Enchilada. The combo came with choice if salad or tortilla soup. I chose the soup, it was spicy and flavorful. Both chili’s were seed free and quality. The sauce was a deep red and yummy. The rice and Beans were both good with the beans being outstanding. The place is old but clean and properly maintained. The waitress was friendly and prompt. Glad I got to experience their food. I paid around 20 dollars for the meal

Tried this place for the first time. The flour tortillas was not soft. I did not like that we were told that we would be told the price not true we found out when our order was bought the total was $50 .The food was not good I will not be going back to this place

I really enjoyed this place. The salsa was excellent with good flavor and chunks of onion and tomato and spicy enough to be enjoyed, not bland like some places. The cheese enchiladas had a flavorful rich sauce and the beans and rice were good too. The salad was very good and included raisins which was a nice touch and added a nice element to the entire meal. Service was fast and courteous. Nice soft seating in the booths. Highly recommend!

I have tried many items on the menu. Today I tried the Menudo. The Menudo has changed a few times over the years. This recipe is a nice dish. However, a bit salty for my taste and the tripe would be a bit more appealing if the cuts were smaller. I will mention my overall favorite is the Chili Relleno Zapata Lunch Special. This restaurant has history, it is clean throughout. The waitresses are pleasant as well. Overall, many appealing items on the menu and the portions exceed one’s appetite.
