Los Vaqueros Stockyards location review in Fort Worth – Facebook

Just left the new Los Vaqueros Stockyards location. Really good, as usual. Will be perfect for dinner before concerts at Billy Bob’s.

Los Vaqueros is a fantastic Tex-Mex spot right across from Billy Bob’s in the Fort Worth Stockyards. Hands down, they have the best chips and salsa—fresh, flavorful, and truly addicting.

The patio is really nice, with live music playing and a relaxed vibe that makes it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Exchange Street. It feels like its own little getaway right in the middle of everything.

One of the biggest highlights: we were able to get a table for eight on a Friday night when every other restaurant in the area had long waits. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was excellent. I ordered the Big Combo Fajitas, and they were delicious—hot, tender, and full of flavor.

Overall, Los Vaqueros is a gem in the Stockyards: great food, great atmosphere, and an unbeatable location.

I had the shrimp enchiladas and loved it! It was really busy inside for a Friday night and we didn’t have reservations so we waited an hour. Great service and great food.

We arrived just 10 minutes before closing, yet the staff welcomed us with genuine warmth and gracious hospitality. They were incredibly accommodating and never made us feel rushed, which immediately set the tone for a wonderful dining experience.

We focused on vegetarian dishes, and every single one exceeded expectations. The margarita was absolutely out of this world — perfectly balanced, bold, strong yet incredibly smooth and flavorful. Easily the best margarita I’ve ever had.

The salsa and chips were fresh, vibrant, and addictive, with just the right amount of heat and depth of flavor. From the many courses we ordered, the cheese enchiladas and chimichangas truly stood out. The kitchen thoughtfully replaced the meat with vegetables without hesitation, and the result was rich, comforting, and delicious. Portion sizes were extremely generous, making it great value as well.

The service was exceptional, attentive, and lightning-fast. The kids were especially thrilled — their soft drinks were refilled proactively, even before they had to ask, which made them extra happy.

Although we were the last guests to leave, the staff remained patient, friendly, and unhurried throughout. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience with outstanding food, stellar service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended — especially for vegetarian options and unforgettable margaritas!

Beautiful restaurant but service is absolutely horrible. My husband and I sat at the bar because tables were full. The bartenders could’ve cared less the whole time to serve us. They never gave us a menu. Never asked if we wanted anything to eat. Never offered waters or silverware. We had to ask them for everything! I would’ve understood if they were completely slammed and short handed. But there were times they would just stand there and look out into the restaurant. We ordered two different dips.. that never came. My food came out wrong and I had to wave them down to let them know. Then once we were ready for our check we had to let them know our dips never came and to take it off our tab. There was no apology. Save your money and go somewhere else that appreciates your business. We will never go again!

After watching the bulls come through the Stockyards, our group of 10+ was looking for a place to cool down and enjoy some good food. You really can’t go wrong with Mexican food in Texas, and Los Vaqueros didn’t disappoint. Despite our large party, we were seated fairly quickly, and the waitstaff took great care of us. Even with the crowd, our food arrived promptly, while the rest of the restaurant remained relatively empty.

We ordered the brisket tacos, which were moist and flavorful, though they could definitely benefit from some kind of sauce to elevate the taste. The rice was fantastic, but unfortunately, the beans were underwhelming. The queso was a letdown, it tasted like the powdered, rehydrated kind you get at ballparks, leaving something to be desired. On the bright side, the salsa was excellent and looked freshly made, adding a nice, authentic touch to the meal. Overall, a great experience with room for a few improvements.

We celebrated my wife Daniela’s 48th birthday at Los Vaqueros, and it was a wonderful experience. Even with part of our group arriving late, our waiter was fantastic at accommodating everyone. The food was delicious, the prices very fair, and the service outstanding. A special surprise was when another waiter came over and sang Las Mañanitas for Daniela — such a heartfelt touch that made the night unforgettable. Thank you, Los Vaqueros, for helping make her birthday so special!

First stop in the stockyards and Andrew B was a vibe! His lemon drop martinis are dangerously good. Crisp, refreshing, and perfectly balanced- one sip and you’re ordering another. On top of that he was fun, friendly and keeps the energy going all night. Great drinks, great laughs, AMAZING Bartender. If Andrew B is behind the bar, you already know it’s going to be a good time!

Had such a nice unexpected lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. It was a little off the main road, so it wasn’t super crowded when we went.

The tacos al carbon and the charro beans were both wonderful.
