I ordered chorizo and egg tacos w potatoes. The potatoes look so old, tasted cold. And the salsa is definitely old. Or they just add on new ingredients to old to make more. Very disappointed. 18 bucks down the drain

It’s been a while since I’ve had food here as I don’t live in the area anymore, but I’m in the area today and have positive associations with this place so I decided to drop in for dinner. WOW, I’m glad I did. I’ve never had their carne asada plate before and, MAN, it is flavorful, spicy, and filling! I’m going to have to find reasons to be in the area more often!
Also! I really like the decorations and service. The nice ladies who work here, live plants, other colorful decorations, and overall cleanliness make for a very pleasant atmosphere.
Fair warning: this establishment doesn’t seem to have a working A/C, which doesn’t bother me because I run cold, but I can see that being a problem for others. If that’s a potential problem for you then I encourage you to order to-go!

I’ve been going here for years.. even back when it was spicy scorpion..
The owners of Los tres amigos has done this place justice..
Their Birria is great (I get the bowls en su jugo)
The surf and turf burrito is amazing..
The chilaquiles are unassumingly great.. nothing special to them just great basic dish done great.. I prefer the green but the red is great too.. also in order over easy and they are actually that.. not cooked to play hard boiled burnt bs..
The prices are extremely reasonable and service is always great..
I ding atmosphere cause the tv is always way to loud to sit an BS with someone and it’s a lil dilapidated but I’ll take a dive in with great food and service over a palace of disappointment any day

First time, we did take out. Hubby had tilapia, he said it was good and loved the green salsa. I had fish tacos, it was good and seasoned just right, bean and rice was good too. Reasonably prices.

I’ve ordered from here 3 times now and each time I haven’t been disappointed. Their albondigas soup is my favorite that I’ve tried so far. You get these GIANT meatballs and vegetables. You can easily feel satisfied after eating it. The broth as well is delicious. When I’ve ordered delivery, they’ve always given me warm tortillas along with onions, cilantro, and lime. Highly recommend them!

OK so I have been eating at this place when it was Spicy Scorpion. The new owner bought them out and changed it to Tres Amigos. I ordered the Shrimp Ranchero which was very tasty and my son ordered the Carne Asada wet burrito. When you drive by you should stop and order some tasty food from them. I definitely will stop again.

Really good, authentic food. Very friendly staff as well. Love the ceviche and they have good birria as well. The birria quesadilla is amazing. They have a great variety on the menu too. I like it because they offer foods my kids will eat as well.

I highly recommend their King Breakfast Burrito. The eggs were cooked just right (not dry and rubbery). Additionally, they don’t skimp on the meat with other fillers. The cheese was of good quality as well.
I am from San Diego and in the area for work. I have tried other Mexican food places here but no one comes close to the authenticity of a San Diego Taco Shop as Los Tres Amigos does!

Let me start off with the atmosphere it was warm inside and stuffy. The biggest issue I had is that this was my first time there and I ordered two California burgers which are suppose to contain Swiss cheese, and avocado it had none of it I will never go there again much less recommend them to anyone. 07/22/2025. Don’t go there bad service.
