Social Profile:

Los Tios Mexican Restaurants have been serving Houston authentic Tex-Mex for almost 5 decades. In that time, devoted diners have made Los Tios a family tradition handed down over generations. Favorite tables, favorite waiters and most importantly favorite dishes have become rituals with Houstonians who have named Los Tios “Houston’s Best Tex-Mex” time and again. Los Tios offers Tex-Mex favorites that include fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, nachos, tamales, burritos, quesadillas and our famous puffy shells dripping in creamy chile con queso. Many Houstonians got their first taste of a frozen margarita at Los Tios as we introduced Houston’s first frozen margaritas back in 1975.

Mexican mainstay known for fajitas, puffed tacos, quesadillas & margaritas in casual environs.

First visit to Houston. Had a client meeting there and we had a good corner round table. The atmosphere is good and you feel good entering the place. The mexican choices were good but very less vegetarian items. But the bowl, the enchilada, tacos, were excellent. The server Lulu was great and she always had a genuine smile on her face.

I like how the building looks from the outside and there is a cute little patio (it was too cold to eat outside today). Walking in I was greeted right away. Chips and salsa were delivered even before I got my son in his highchair. The waiter was nice, my only complaint is I never got my refill of water. The food was good, I really enjoyed it all. I also love the lights when you first walk in the building.

Party Room Review:

Los Tios Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff who made us feel right at home. The managers Vanessa and Miguel were so helpful and accommodating with meal selection and booking.

The party room was perfect for our special baptism celebration. Now, let’s talk about the food—wow! The fajitas fiesta buffet was sizzling and delicious, the guacamole was creamy and flavorful, and the sides of rice and beans were so good. Loved that they put food in the warmers too. The service was impeccable, with attentive waitstaff who ensured we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Truly incredible with 40 guests!!

Overall, Los Tios exceeded our expectations in every way possible. We can’t wait to come back and celebrate more events. Highly recommend!”

Update: June 2025….amazing food again and great service even with large party of 10!

I’ve been eating at the Sugar Land location for 10 years and my kids have grown up with their food!!! Our family eats here weekly and they have the friendliest staff and bar tenders!! They also have the best frozen margarita in Houston hands down!!! The food is always fresh, hot, and prepared quickly!!! The staff works hard to accommodate even when they are busy!! I grew up eating at the original Los Tios in Houston and it’s always been my favorite Mexican Restaurant!!! Reyes, my bartender has taken the very best care of my family and is always serving me with a smile and story from years past!!! He has sold me all his swag they offer at the restaurant and even helped me put together my Halloween costume this year to be a Los Tios waiter here in Sugar Land!!! Viva Los Tios!!!!!!!!!

The place was packed on Saturday night, but service was fast. The seafood enchiladas were delicious and price is good. Their frozen margaritas are strong, so order at your own risk! Have one .. you will feel good ! 🙂 Every thing was nice, they even sang happy birthday to my friend. Parking does suck so you will need to walk. Highly recommend!

If your looking for steak tacos, fajitas, or anything else with steak in it this place is the best. My wife and I ordered the steak street tacos, steak chili verde burritos, and frozen margaritas and I couldn’t stop eating. The steak almost melted in your mouth. It was the best Texmex I’ve had in 12 years of living in Texas. We found our new favorite spot!

Excellent establishment with great management and workers. My boy Reyes at the bar is one of the best bartenders I’ve come across in Houston. I walk in and he knows not only my order but my parents and brothers and sisters orders without saying a word to him. The queso is amazing and the chicken fajitas are so good.

Los Tios Sugar Land is the most welcoming restaurant in the area. The managers and staff are so attentive and friendly. They are like family to us. Tania and Mariano always greet us with a smile and make sure we are having a wonderful experience. They are such a joy to talk to.
Reyes takes great care of those dining in the bar area. He is adds a great deal of enjoyment to those he takes care of.
The food is delicious. My favorite dish is the Chicken Monterey!
I look forward to my next visit!

Please excuse my photos lol if you know me then you know I started eating and forgot all about taking pictures.

PSA Los Tios is OPEN!!

I ordered a lot of food… House Guacamole, Katie’s T-sip dip, Nachos Los Tios, Fajita Beef Stuffed Puffy Queso, Fajita Beef Quesadillas, Deluxe Taco Plate, and the item I was looking forward to the most Sopapillas.

I’m going to start with the Bad: I was so disappointed too. The Sopapillas description states “Four lightly fried pastries, dusted with cinnamon and powdered sugar”. Served with caramel and honey. What I got was only dusted with cinnamon so they were spicy/tart even with the caramel and honey they were still not good. I challenge the owner or cook to try it like it was given to me to see what we experienced. If it was in fact a mistake then you all owe me an order of Sopapillas please :).

Good: While I was waiting for my food I did notice who I believe to be the owner personally checking on the people dining in. $5 Margaritas was popping and must have been good because everyone had one except me lol. As far as the food everything was pretty good, but the star of the show was the stuffed puffy which was surprising and sad that I only bought one. I will be going back to dine in, try a margarita, and get better pics of the food.

Still sad about my Sopapillas tho. If you order some be sure to check for that sugar and thank me later!!

Lost Tios is the classic Tex-Mex we have all had. The food is always consistent and well priced. Unfortunately this time service was a little slow on a busy Sunday lunch, but we all enjoyed. If not.offered, please ask for the praline at the end of your meal.
