It’s always a treat to find truly authentic Mexican food, and Los Saraperos Tacos Y Mas in downtown Gulfport definitely delivers. This cute, small spot is in a beautifully refurbished older building, which adds to its charm.
We skipped appetizers and went straight for the drinks and entrees. They have a great selection of classic fruit juices from a fountain, and we highly recommend the pineapple juice—it was wonderfully refreshing and paired perfectly with our meal.
For our entrees, we had the Enchiladas Suizas and the combo tacos (two al pastor and two carne asada). Everything was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The homemade sauces added a fantastic extra kick that really elevated the dishes.
This place is a must-try for anyone looking for great Mexican food. Just be sure to go early, as they close around 7 p.m. You won’t be disappointed!

I am not a big mexican food eater, but my guy is.. I got the Volcano nachos and he got the fajita nachos and a specialty taco and when I tell you the food was amazing.. their food is seasoned to perfection. 10/10 must try if you’re in Gulfport area. And the hospitality from the young lady that runs the front is great. She could tell that was our first time and she took her time explaining the menu and the was very polite and patient. 10/10 on customer service as well..

Birra tacos are delicious! Like a warm cheesy hug. The chef makes a point to come speak with each table. He exudes happiness when discussing his food. They use butter instead of oil and you can taste the difference. You can tell a lot about a place by how happy the workers are. Los Sarapes is hands down one of the best taco spots around! I called in a large order and was blown away by how fast and efficient they were — they had everything ready for me in under 15 minutes.
Not only was the service top-notch, but the food was incredible. The tacos were fresh, flavorful, and made with obvious care. I especially loved the chicken and birria — perfectly seasoned and cooked just right.

Absolutely hands down the BEST birria tacos I’ve ever had So juicy, so cheesy, and packed with flavor in every single bite. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and worth every bite. I’ll be dreaming about these tacos until I’m back for more!

Edit: Mr Sandoval made me some lengua tacos for me today, and get were the best that i have ever had. Definitely worth a stop in. Stop reading this, and go get some authentic tacos. Just go. You will not be sorry. Very very flavorful tacos… real Mexican coke… good music and atmosphere inside, etc. Very clean and bright. It’s a little pricy, but well well worth it. ~$20 bucks for 4 birria tacos and a coke. Highly recommend Los Sarapes for lunch! I can’t wait to try it for breakfast.

This is probably one of the only Mexican restaurants where I have come back every Tuesday for the discounted tacos. Everything on the menu is without a doubt, a good choice. If you are looking for authentic mexican food, a good vibe, and perfect customer service this is the spot. The staff is like family and the food is nostalgic.

Went there for dinner on a Saturday night. Luckily they were making tamales so we ordered birria tacos and tamales. Food was superb. The oyster shooters were truly excellent. Ask for the special hot sauce if you like heat with flavor. We will be back.
