Best Torta I’ve ever had. Went with carnitas and it was perfectly cooked, not greasy or overly salty like it can be. Bread itself was chewy and the cheese was browned onto it making it more delicious. Hard to get a picture that encapsulates the greatness.

Late post – I wrote this right after eating here on November 22, 2025, but never hit “submit.”

This place is a true hole-in-the-wall — literally a converted house on a residential street. GPS gets you close, but it’s easy to drive right past. Parking is only two driveway spots plus street parking (there might be a small lot across the street) so plan accordingly if it’s busy.
Service was genuinely warm and welcoming the moment I walked in, which immediately put me in a good mood.

I ordered red chilaquiles with asada, a bowl of menudo, two tacos al pastor, a Mexican Coke, and a Sprite.

• Red chilaquiles (Two eggs, fried tortilla chips lathered in red chili, asada(additional cost) side of beans, side of salad; lettuce, tomatoe, avocado): They forgot the asada at first, but fixed it fast and brought the steak on the side—no attitude. The bigger issue was texture—the chips were soggy instead of the usual toasty/crunchy. The sauce started off tasty but got surprisingly bland halfway through; it just didn’t have enough depth to keep every bite interesting.

• Menudo: Under-seasoned and missing that rich, comforting flavor I love. The bolillo came toasted with butter, which felt totally out of place with the menudo (personal taste, but it didn’t work for me).

• Tacos al pastor: Hands-down the highlight. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and everything I want in a street-style taco.

Overall, not a bad experience, just inconsistent. The tacos alone are worth coming back for, and the friendly vibe is a big plus. I’d skip the chilaquiles and menudo next time, but I’ll definitely return to try more of the “finger food” side of the menu.
Solid neighborhood spot with real potential—hope they tighten up the classics!

My #1 pick for Mexican food in the area. Can’t wait to try more of the menu. Definitely recommend this place if you live in the area. You always know you are gonna get some great food when you go to a restaurant that used to be a house. Tacos and asada fries are on point, the Juarez burger is pretty good. The hot dog ismid but still good.

Now this is Authentic Mexican food!!!!! No green chili New Mexico stuff (no offense lol) I mean they do sell green chili but I came here for Mexican food!
Let’s just say this area (Milliken/Johnstown) doesn’t exactly have any real good Mexican places! This is the ONLY spot you will find that’s truly worth it! Their carne asada fries, tortas and hot dogs were amazing ! Quality food! The carne asada had a great flavor and it was soft not hard and dry like other places!
It was my first time trying it and won’t be my last time, definitely going back to try the rest! Give it a try you wont be disappointed!!!!

Really easy counter service spot with yummy salsa & tacos! Very quiet, but did go midweek after 1 p.m., so maybe missed a lunch rush. Some tacos hit more than others, but all were delicious. Give it a try!

Gluten free options are available with corn tortillas. My favorite is the barbacoa taco with side of rice and beans. Fam, their rice and beans gives me life and soul. Parking is unpaved lot on side of building and alongside street, don’t let this deter you from eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner here!

I have to be honest, the name of this joint was what drew me in initially. I’ve never had tacos and hotdogs at the same time, but you know what? It freakin works! Each option was good enough that the restaurant could’ve been JUST a taco spot OR a hotdog spot, but TOGETHER it’s pure magic. Well done Los Rudos Tacos y Hotdogs… well done.

These are some of the best tacos I’ve had in Colorado. The restaurant is incredibly clean, the staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. This is a hidden gem in Johnstown and we will definitely be back. We tried the asada fries, tacos Al pastor, chorizo & Asada and they were all excellent. If you’re in the area, you absolutely should check them out.
